We had a great time. The RIAD is spotlessly clean and very atmospheric
We asked the RIAD to order a taxi for us from the airport and I would recommend you do that as it would be very difficult to find on your own. Once you are there its a real oasis of calm and the staff are lovely
We ate in one night and had the best meal that we had in Marrakesh

Riad Karmela is the perfect introduction to Marrakesh! In the heart of the old city, close to the souks, and just about 10 minutes walk from the main square, and a welcome oasis of tranquility when the bustle and chaos of the Medina starts to overwhelm.
Joel and his staff were wonderfully friendly, helpful and charming. Joel gave us lots of really useful advice on our arrival - including tips to find our way around, and recommended a superb restaurant just a short walk away for our special birthday celebration. We booked dinner at the Riad on the night of our arrival - it was simple but delicious, and there was no problem with the fact that I'd forgotten to mention that I'm a vegetarian.
The room was spacious, looked great and was immaculately clean bearing in mind that it was decorated with local craftwork and fabrics. The roof terrace and courtyards are a delightful oasis after the hubbub of the medina.
“ Top Tip: Don't miss the Majorelle Garden. The museum of photography is very interesting if photography is your thing - not so much if you're just into it as wall art. Foundouks restaurant is fabulous.

The Riad Karmela was a haven of peace in the Medina. The proprietors Joel and Phillipe provided excellent service, Joel and all the staff in the Riad went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, the rooms are beautifully decorated with art and high quality furnishings. The public rooms were plentiful and very well kept. It was really nice to stay somewhere without TV blaring - the background music in the relaxation areas was appropriate, the hamman simple but very clean, the massage relaxing and very good value.
Food at the Riad is simple at breakfast and the evening meals were served in traditional tegine and of good quality.
I would recommend this Riad to anyone wanting to stay in old Marrakesh but with modern facilities.
“ Top Tip: The Marrakech museum and Koran school are only 5 minutes walk and are worth a visit to see the restored property, carvings, tiles and photographs.

A beautiful design within a typically Moroccan framework, Kenzi Tichka Marrakech is recently renovated to ensure the comfort of our customers. The work of the decorator Bill Willis has his originality and its refinement in the exclusive use of the Moroccan craft industry according to the purest traditions of Moorish art. The modern is present only where comfort imposes it. The hotel is located at 5min from the city centre and 10min from the Marrakech Menara Airport.
“ We had a good room with a very nice bathroom, the staff were helpful and polite Breakfast was gave a wide choice of local and continental items. Unfortunately dinner was a disappointment.

The hotel is in a quiet area a few meters from the city center ,it enjoys a very convenient location in the city of Tinghir near the weekly souk .The Hotel offers nicely decorated rooms,most of which have been renovated recently and a bar service, a very helpful staff who will be available 24 hours, for 24 hours the reception desk will be able provide any useful information ( food,guided tours laundry and dry cleaning and many others). Baby cots and hairdryers can be requested at reception. The hotel provides six rooms specially equipped for persons with disabilities and also non-smoking rooms.
