Location
The villa has 8 spacious guest rooms each individually decorated with beautifully crafted furniture and splashes of colors unique to the Moroccan way of life. All rooms are good in size and gives all the best comfort. The bathrooms in Moroccan style are beautiful.
As being a Riad there is not a special space for the restaurant but the garden or patio can be use to enjoy the fantastic tastes of individually prepared local cuisine for either lunch or dinner. Also at the villa will be a light lunch menu that can be ordered from for most of the afternoon. This includes light salads, pasta and other Mediterranean dishes.
The exterior is like a good villa, surrounded by gardens, in the new city of Gueliz.
Villa Amira is built in a typical Moroccan style it blends Arabic architecture and European décor over 700 square meters to create a unique ambience in which to relax and enjoy every minute of your holiday.
Whether you are relaxing by the pool, dining in or just having a delicious local tea the staff at Villa Amira and Spa are ever attentive and there to make sure all your needs are met. The villa is dotted with small public areas so that you may feel like you have the villa all to yourselves.
The owners Paola and Aurore have recently left the busy city of Paris in order to settle in the ever expanding city of Marrakech. Both have worked in the top establishments in Paris after having graduated from Swiss hotelier universities. Their studies and experience ensure that standards are exceptional and that each guest is individually catered for anticipating your needs.Located in the sublimely calm ground floor of the Villa is the Spa area where you can get a wide variety of treatments from the specialized staff. A hammam, scrub room and massage parlour offer all you may desire to relax either before or after visiting the busy sites of Marrakech. Top Tip:
we walked a lot :
to Medina it took us 20min (taksi costed 30-50 dirham)
go to new town- plaza if you walk it would take 10-20min. Mohamed avenue 5 and 6th there you can find lots of shops, I bought 4 pairs of shoes, and it was much cheaper than in Medina!
also I would recomend to go to:
Chez Ali restaurant - once in a lifetime :)
also La Trattoria restaurant - very nice !!! http://www.bestrestaurantsmaroc.com/en/restaurant-maroc/trattoria-la.html

“
Walking into this hotel - actually more like a beautiful upmarket B+B - for the first time was a most pleasant and memorable experience, even for someone like myself who is well travelled.
My partner and I phoned the Villa from the airport as soon as we touched down in Marrakech and the lady who answered courteously and with the minimum of fuss ordered us a taxi. Tired and hungry we walked up the steps to the Villa where we were greeted by the wonderful Hassamia, who welcomed us into the domicile. The doors closed behind us and we were immediately charmed by the sense of serenity, the exquisite detail of the interior and indeed the smells of Hassamia's excellent cooking. Our host sat us down with some mint tea and proceeded to cook us a wonderful (and entirely bespoke!) dinner of cous-cous, lamb and vegetables.
This sense of informal hospitality defined our stay at the Villa Amira for the few days we went on to stay there. As well as Hassamia's extensive and friendly assistance and excellent cuisine, we enjoyed the simple, tasty breakfasts prepared by Kadija (who also helped to arrange our trip to the Atlas Mountains) and we enjoyed a lovely massage care of Hayat. The only downsides were that we were unable to experience the hammam treatment as there was some sort of problem with the steam room and at a push, the coldness of the plunge pool.
Other than these minor caveats we had a wonderfully pleasurable and relaxing time at the Villa and would highly recommend it - and already have - without hesitation to anyone seeking a good value but beautiful hotel with genuinely helpful staff.
“
Top Tip:
Hassamia's best nugget of information was to check the set prices of the goods on sale at the Artisanal Complex before delving into the souks of the medina - just so as you have some idea of how much to bargain for!
Brushing up on your French is definitely advisable, however Hassamia has been taking English lessons and was very patient with us throughout.

“ Had a brilliant holiday the hotel was even better than we hoped beautifully appointed and very clean. The staff incredibly helpful and accommodating. Taxi ride to the medina but we felt that was a plus to escape to some peace. Will be back!
“ Top Tip: Arrange the taxi price before you get in!

“ The hotel was beautiful and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Each room was individually decorated. The breakfast was delicious and we had it by the pool. We had to get taxis into town but that was fine.

“ Room comfortable and clean. Bathroom needed a shower curtain. Staff friendly and helpful. Owner of the Riad was eager to make stay pleasant, and was able to recommend places to go and where to eat and did provide the "personal touch". There is a pleasant terrace area where we had breakfast and a small swimming pool, which I did'nt try as weather not good enough. Had to get a taxi to get around as a little bit away from the centre. Could have walked but pavements are a bit higgeldy with lots of holes, so difficult to see where to walk at night and a bit too far for me.
