“ Stayed 2 nights in November 2011. First room offered had a really smelly bathroom, Changed upon complaint, second room clean and spacious. Centrally located in the heart of Tangiers, friendly staff, Poor basic breakfast, however value for the money we paid.

“ I stayed for one night and chose the hotel because of the central location. The room was basic and clean but was quite noisy, I think my room was next to the boiler room or something. There was no tarif in the Bar and the guy tried to overcharge me for the two drinks I had by 100Dh (£8). I would use the hotel again, for a night in between destinations, but wouldn't use it as a holiday base e.g. for one or two weeks with the family. The breakfast was good, and the reception staff were helpful and booked me a taxi for the morning which arrived promptly.

Much better than I expected given the cost - a nice surprise.
Our room had a fantastic view, the hotel was close to both the old and new parts of Tangier, the staff were friendly and approachable, and the breakfast was also very good.
I would recommend to anyone looking for a short stay in Tangier
“
Top Tip:
Bar Americain is fairly close at hand in the backstreets nearby, and you can get alcohol and great tapas, although it may not be to everyones taste, as its a little bit sleazy.
If you want glamour try Caids Bar just before the Socco Grande

“ My two friends and I, University chums 30 years ago, booked the Hotel Rembrandt as a place to spend one night at each end of a short break in Morocco. The location is excellent and within easy walking distance of The Grand Socco, the Petit Socco and the Kasbah. It is no distance from there to the sea front. The facilities in our room were perfectly adequate for our purposes. There was a TV with both CNN and BBC World (among many other international channels) which was very handy for catching up with world events on the night before our return home. The bathroom was roomy and the shower very good. The dining room has a pleasant view over the pool area which looked like it might be very pleasant in hotter weather, big and deep enough for a proper swim. Breakfast included in the room price was excellent and set us up perfectly for our journey to the Rif mountains and, on our second visit, for our journey home. The Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We'd all stay again.
“ Top Tip: Just across from the Hotel Rembrandt is the No.1 Restaurant. It couldn't be more convenient and the food was very good. The walls of the restaurant were rather overpopulated with paintings but that added a certain charm. The No.1 Restaurant serves (among other things) Casablanca beer which went down very well after a couple of hours wandering around Tangier.

Central and good pool and pleasant garden, friendly staff, large but shabby rooms, had to move from the first one because
air-con, lock, phone etc not working but would have been a great room with terrace if working. Did not eat there. Quite happy some evidence they were redecorating so will be very good when works done.
Bar shut and breakfast disappointing during Ramadan.
