Acro Amsterdam Hotel

“ The Poet Hotel (was Acro Hotel), is situated in the museum quarter of Amsterdam. It is an ideal location for all your site seeing requirements in Amsterdam. It is a lovely hotel, with excellent decor and although it is quite small, unlike some (unfair) reviews, I found the space adequate and I am a large person. The reception people were more than helpful, they did everything they possibly could to make our stay as comfortable as possible and went out of their way to ensure we knew how to get to all the places in Amsterdam that we wanted to.

“ Top Tip: The hotel is situated in a quiet area of Amsterdam, however the public transport is second to none and will take you wherever you want to go quite easily. There is a little Cantonese restaurant just round the corner from the hotel where the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Try the "Rice Table" meal it is fantastic and not too expensive.

“ Very clean and tidy hotel the staff were helpful. It's close to museums, boat trips and places to eat/drink. There is a fantastic Spanish tapas bar right from leidesplain square and the second left highly recommended. Overall a great hotel and great location for everything you would want in Amsterdam

Catch the number 197 bus from the airport at 4 euros each way it stops at the end of the road.
Get to the museums early to avoid the queues or by your tickets in advance

“ The hotel certainly met our requirements in terms of accomodation and cleanliness, excellent value for a 2 star rating. My only critiicism would be breakfast a little chaotic at times. Would I recommend it, absolutely.

“ We had a quad room which was small but clean and fine for us. Could have done with some drawers (one would do). Bathroom very small. Very steep stairs but there is a lift (not to the basement/breakfast room?) not suitable for the very elderly or those with walking problems!
Hotel staff v helpful. Great location - in walking distance of everywhere.We would stay here again - far enough from the centre to be quiet and peaceful but close enough to the centre and the attractions.
