Dutch Design Hotel Artemis

“ The Hotel is very clean, rooms are of a good size and the beds were very comfortable. A good breakfast, with plenty of choice. Staff were helpful. The Hotel does not have much personality, but everything is of a very good standard. The Hotel is not close to the centre of Amsterdam, and there are not any resturants close by.

“ Top Tip: To get into the center of Amsterdam, you need to catch the number 145 bus, from the back of the hotel, this will take you into the center of Amsterdam where all the resturants are. The trams are a good 20 mins walk away. Even though they tell you at the hotel it is just down the road - beware it is a long walk! The bus is the easiest, and they are every 30 mins, last bus back is midnight!

“ This hotel provided an excellent service and during our stay there of one week we found the staff were most helpful in all enquires, and went out of their way to fulfil
any questions we had as to what public transport was available the times and locations of such. For tourist attractions again they were most helpful and even put themselves out to find the the information we required, and if they said they they would get back to us with on enquiry they did so. The room was of good size and offered what you would expect of a four star hotel.The breakfast excellent with a very good selection of food hot and cold and if some foods run out they soon replenish these. When booking this hotel we requested a quite room position which we received. The Hotel was in a quite area outside the city centre with public transport to the airport, city centre and central station. Trams run from early morning to midnight and every ten minutes from a tram stop just about ten minutes walk from the hotel. Buses run from early morning to about ten in the evening from the IBM building, which was a five minutes walk from the hotel. There is no free airport shuttle service bus provided by the hotel.

“ the hotel is advertised as a business hotel but i stayed there with family to see amsterdam and it more than met our needs - it isn't right in the city centre but being 10 minutes by taxi from the airport was perfect for getting us to our early flight home.
the hotel sold us tram passes and staff directed us to the tram stop - a 7 minute walk away and the tram journey to the van gogh museum took what felt like no time.
the hotel looks stunning with its emphasis on design, art and has a lovely patio terrace, but this did not take away anything from our comfort - the room was sleek but cosy and the beds just right.
breakfast was exceptional with everyone catered for, but above all i have to say thank you to the wonderful friendly and helpful staff who really made our stay - an example was a chambermaid who advised us that it was cold outside and that we might need to wrap up more warmly!
our only disappointment was not being able to stay longer. i hope to visit amsterdam again and would definitely stay at the same hotel.
