“ This hotel is centrally located within easy walking distance of all the amenities. (We only used the tram once.) It is a 12 minute walk from the station and only 3 minutes from Dam Square. It has a 4 star rating but is similar to 3 star hotels here in the UK. It is more akin to a 'Travelodge' rather than a 'Premier Inn' I would say. It only provides breakfast which was served in a tidy restaurant. The choice was limited but satisfactory except that on the first morning it was cold! On the second morning, the coffee from the machine was cold! The room was of a reasonable size and clean and comfortable. The mixer shower was of a good quality. The staff were polite and reasonably friendly but I did not receive the wake up call I requested on the first night. Overall, the hotel was adequate for our needs and very reasonably priced.

“ The staff were really friendly and went to a lot of trouble to find us a room overlooking the canal - they really are the biggest and best, so always ask. Breakfast was substantial; not much hot food, but lots of choice otherwise and a great coffee machine. Given the price and location, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.
“ Top Tip: Around the corner on Spuistrasse are a bunch of inexpensive local bistros (no tourists!) Try ''lundem'', which is definitely the best for quality food and atmosphere.
