Kazimierz II Hotel

“ Kazimierz II is a very comfortable hotel to stay at. The staff on reception where very attentive and helpful and spoke very good english. Rooms were very comfortable and quiet. Excellent choice from the breakfast buffet too.

“ Top Tip: Would recommend Starka Restaurant on Jozefa Str. It is only a fewminutes across the road from the hotel. Great food.

“ This is my third stay at the Kazimierz 2 hotel. I have always been very well looked after by their staff who are efficient,helpful, and friendly- especially Magdalena and Mariusz on the reception desk. Rooms are cleaned every day and the shower facilities are excellent- clean, well lit, with piping hot water. Breakfast is served downstairs via the lift where there is a buffet style breakfast. The seating area is spotlessly clean and there is quite a choice of food to get you started for the day. Opens from 7am till 11am. The location of the hotel is perfect - with tram stops just up the street and also within walking distance to the Jewish area and to the river and Wawel Castle.-For the single traveller who wants a good place to stay, with no nonsence frills, you cannot beat this hotel. I can highly recommend this hotel from experience and also check out their sister hotel Kazimierz 1, in Midowa about 500 yds away

“ Top Tip: Get a three day travel card for 65 zlotty. This allows free use of trams and buses and saves the bother of having to purchase a tram ticket in advance, as there is not always a ticket machine on many older trams, or if the outlets on the street are closed. It also allows you free access to about thirty museums including the new Oskar Shindler museum, and the Polish Aircraft museum which is a must for enthusiasts. You also get discounts at restaurants like 10% off at the Hard Rock Cafe. Use the tourist information places to get free maps and advice too. They are very helpful and know all the good places to visit. Try and avoid the organised tours which are quite expensive. Look out for the free walking tour of the city - you will see a guide with a lollipop saying "come and join us" This is also a must and you will learn so much about Krakow - for nothing. As regards transport,you can get tickets from the coach station to places like Zakopane, Auschwitz, and the Salt mines and with a bit of planning this will also save you money. Trains seem to be a lot slower than the buses believe it or not. Food and drink still relatively cheap compared to the euro zone but I would say prices have gone up about 15% since my visits in 2009/10. The best place to change currency is in a Kantor on Grodzka street 61. They had the best rates by far and the guy in there is friendly to boot.-unlike some of the outlets you visit with rubbish rates. Enjoy Krakow it is a wonderful city and I cannot wait to go back again soon

“ Given the fact that this was our first time in krakow, my wife and I were happy
with the hotel kazimierz 11 it was in a central part of krakow which was ideal for both of us, the hotel it self in our opinion was clean, the staff were pleasant and
helpful, the breakfast in the morning was of local taste, however in saying that,
we appreciate that its not possible for the hotel to cater for all nationals who visit
the hotel (food wise ) we enjoyed our stay in the hotel, and that if we visit krakow
a second time we will most certainly consider staying in the kazimierz hotel,

“ Top Tip: we found two restaurants in krakow, nova and the moment, both of these places
were very nice to have lunch with a few drinks,
