It has 2 panoramic saltwater pools (1 heated for adults and one unheated for children) furnished with cushioned lounges. Most of its 208 rooms have full-frontal sea view from the balcony, air-con, satellite TV, direct-dial phone and free safe-deposit box. With a Casino, 3 Restaurants, 8 meeting-rooms, 2 bars, a health club, children's playground, free Wi-Fi Internet access (public areas & Sea view rooms) and 24-hour room service, you can't ask for anything more.

The Estrela do Vau Apartments are superbly situated next to the golf course, ‘Alto Golf’ at Vau, close to Praia do Alemao beach, and 2 km from the centre of Praia da Rocha. Peacefully positioned in its own gardens, this modern complex provides guests with 2 swimming pools, sun terraces, a restaurant and bar with a snooker table, a poolside snack bar and a lounge area. Plus Kids Club and Entertainment team during summer, mini golf and beauty centre. Each guest room features a kitchenette, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, hairdryer, safety box and a balcony.
“ We stayed here ( myself, my wife and three children aged 11 to 15) during the October half term holidays. We hired a car from the airport as it was cheaper than paying for a coach transfer(!) and had no trouble finding the hotel (following directions left in another review on this site).

Located in Praia da Rocha, just 150 m from the beach and 2 km from the centre of Portimão. Club Amarilis has a 24h front desk, bar, swimming pool, children’s pool, elevator, gym, tennis court, pool table, laundry service, safety deposit boxes, parking and supermarket. The apartments are equipped with bathroom, kitchenette, TV and telephone.
“ Enjoyed a very pleasant stay at the Amarilis. All our pre-holiday requests were met in full. The appts were spacious and were very clean. A cleaning lady called every day and clean towels were provided each time.

Comprising two buildings with seven and nine floors respectively, this appealing complex offers 114 apartments. Guests may make use of the spacious foyer with a 24-hour reception desk. There is also a small supermarket, several shops, and a cosy bar to be taken advantage of. The hotel laundry service as well as medical assistance (charges apply) are also on offer. There are parking facilities for those arriving by car.
“ Very happy with the Hotel, rooms nice and clean and spaceious. The pool is not very big but fine to cool off in,no shallow end for small children. Have stayed in 4 and 5 star Hotels near by and would go back to this one

“ It is a nice hotel and has the added benefit of a nice location on the waters edge. All staff were excellent and at all times attentive to our needs. Our room, or suite, with a host of inroom facilities was a pleasant surprise.
