Very clean, very pleasant staff, quite new.
Lovely village with quality reasonably priced food a short but steep walk away.
On site shop is no good for self catering if that's your plan.
There is a very good Lidl a couple of miles up the road but you need a car, in fcat you need a car just to get around, although you can see portimao its a 5 mile round trip to the nearest bridge.
We had a car and would go back.
Walls in apartments are very thin, particularly apartments where next doors bathroom backs on to your built in bedroom wardrobe. You can hear every movement (if you get my drift - ooohhh!!) i think oit is only the wardrobe back and tiles that seperate you!

“ Excellent hotel! I booked this purely based on trip adviser reviews and they were spot on. Spotless modern appartments, nothing left to chance they had everything in them. 3 beautiful spotless pools, water was checked every day by staff! only bad points, older lady on reception not very helpfully or present on more than 1 occasion. We had slight problem booking in because we did not hav any passports because we live in Portugal ! She insisted we provide driving licences for everyone staying inc my 3 yr old ! We had lots of Id and she finally accepted our private health insurance cards expacare.only other thing heated pool would of been nice or at very least the jacuzzi should of been heated.
“ Top Tip: Great restaurant up bank towards playa grande beach ( best beach ) we had great meal 8 different dishes of Indonesian food 15 euros very nice. Also restaurant on left as you walk down on to playa grande beach, chicken curry in pitta bread the best ! Other than that u hav the reasturants in the square,Italian nice barri nice portarde nice and feragood nice. We weren't to keen on ferragudo bit scruffy but had our car so drove to playa da rocha few times.

“ Perched on top of a hill overlooking the estuary and Portimao this modern complex with it's boldly coloured appartments is more likely to be seen in Miami than the quaint fishing village of Ferrogudo. The complex is stunning, 3 pools one for children and a jacuzzi. Library, games room, snack bar, restuarant and roof top bar with panoramic views of Portimao and the sea. One bedroom appartments are spacious and have every thing you need, spotless throughout. The staff are attentive, especially Maria. My Father lives in Ferroguda so I visit frequently and will certainly be returning and recommending Vitors.
“ Top Tip: Pria Grande is a lovely stretch of beach and is calmer due to it's breakers, you can sit at Club Nau and watch the sunset they have live jazz on a Sunday, the lamb tangine is amazing. The Riberia Restuarant Alvor is the best for fish and sea food. Vinho verde is the local white wine young and crisp but they also do a red tinto from the Douro which lovely.
