Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac near the villages of Bordeira and Bárbara de Nexe, the Villa Soalheira provides a delightful hideaway. Designed by its architect owner, the house was once an agricultural barn and has been beautifully and thoughtfully restored inside and out.

Outside, the house is flanked by enclosed gardens, which are both spacious and lovingly cared for. Fig, olive, cypress and almond trees rise towards an attractive swimming pool bordered by a small sun terrace. Beyond, a second shaded terrace offers respite from the midday sun and a great opportunity to sit over glasses of vino and al-fresco meals cooked on the barbecue.

The villa interior is equally charming and well kept, with rustic features such as bare stone walls, tiled floors and ceiling beams imparting a quaint feel. Country-style furnishings and splashes of bright colour also contribute to the cosy and homely atmosphere.

Although you could be a world away sitting in the garden, the Soalheira is conveniently located for enjoying everything this part of the Algarve offers. The friendly village of Bordeira with its restaurants, supermarket and bars is nearby and the bustling market town of São Brás del Alportel and historic Loulé are within easy reach by car. The villa neighbours Villa Poente.

A refundable breakages deposit of €200 is payable in cash on arrival.
