The hotel is fabulous. It has had extensive work done and the place is beautiful. We upgraded to a suite that is offered to you on arrival and it's worth every penny. very highly reccommended!!!! The hotel itself is very clean and tidy staff friendly and welcoming.
However there was a few small things that may be more frustrating for others. Wifi comes at a very costly charge. €50 for the week which I
Find awful fOr them to do this. But the problem was solved if u go down to the lobby the wifi then becomes free and they have 4 brand new apple mac computers there to use.
Other issue that we found to be rather naughty of the hotel was a €15 charge per person to use the indoor swimming pool. We looked around and it was lovely in there but got a shock when we wanted to use it. Problem was solved by the weather being lovely outside we didn't want to spend time indoors.

Get out early or u end up with the giant bean bags to lounge on on the grass. Some people loved these but we wasn't overly keen.
Lunch menu and food was Plentyfull and very good. But however the evening buffet we found a huge let down. we went half board and we were disappointed. Everything was bland and dry, this seriously needs bringing upto the rest of the hotels standards, 3* buffet maybe!!!
Only a short walk to the marina don't let that put You off this hotel. It is lovely. U are spoilt For choice Of bars and restaurants just down the road.
We will most certainly be back, but not halfboard bases unfortunately.

Second visit to this hotel this year and will be returning again.
The rooms are excellent comfy beds very clean and the bathroom is magnificent .
There breakfast was very good with lots of choice and so was the evening meal you could always find something to eat .
The reception area and bar area is very modern and relaxing and the grounds outside are very good overlooking the beach .
We will defiantly returning to this hotel later this year as we go to villamoura several times a year .
