This is a friendly, efficient hotel, not the most modern, nor particularly well specced but it has warm, honest, down to earth staff and is excellent value. There are a lot of steps but the views are fantastic, especially relaxing from the dining rooms as you're right above the beach. The hotel also has it's own mini market
The hotel bus is free and a great for getting you into both new and old Albufeira
Not a great deal (quiet season) outside but there are other mini markets between 5 and 5 minutes away by foot if you go left out of the hotel. There is also a bar/restaurant (cheaper than the hotel if you're not all inclusive) just outside to the left.

Top Tip:
Go light (back-pack/hand luggage) for a short break either B&B or half board. This is a nice relaxing break out of season.
Take binoculars, I saw dolphins swimming past (late afternoon) not 100m from the shoreline.
The bar/restaurant next door is friendly and relaxing with it's own pool and pool table (although be aware they charge for the pool table by the minute and not per game)

“ After reading the reviews, many of them negative was a little apprehensive. Arrived at 10pm the staff very helpful (even SABRINA on reception) she was named very unfavourably in one review as not helpful at all but was the complete opposite. Rooms very good and cleaned daily. English TV programmes. A little welcome pack fruit, sandwiches and a drink. Food in main restaurant could have been better, but always found something to eat. The food in the pool bar was better. Guests with walking problems would have difficulties. Taking all into account and what you pay well worth it. Great views from poolside bar and The Dancing Bar (waltz, cha cha etc). Free bus to the old town.

Built in 1974, this hotel was renovated in the year 2000 and offers a total of 108 double rooms spread over 6 floors. The hotel offers a 24-hour reception, a safe, a lift and a cafe. Guests are also offered a TV room and an air-conditioned buffet restaurant with highchairs for children. In addition, the hotel has a conference room and a public Internet terminal as well as bicycle hire. A laundry service rounds off the amenities.
“ The hotel itself was very nice and kept clean and tidy, also rooms cleaned and fresh towels were put out when needed. The only downfall would be the standard of food at dinner which was on the cold side and also the plates were cold which didn't help. If this were put right I would certainly recommend it.

“ I stayed at the Hoel for 1 week whilst on business,I thought the Hotel was perfect for wht I needed. Good quality rooms, friendly staff in all areas, spotlessly clean, good food, good service. I will definately return to this hotel

Monica Isabel Beach Club as is so called because its fantastic location being beach front set in its own private gardens and village area, yet close to all the facilities of Albufeira situated mid way between the old and new town. The majority of its apartments have a fantastic view over the sea and the golden sand, and is ideal for families and couples alike.
