Baia Grande Hotel

“ Fabulous hotel , spacious rooms , friendly polite staff and real value for money, no rip off prices here.

“ Top Tip: The hotel runs a shuttle to gale beach , however a twenty minute walk takes you to everisto beach , a beautiful beach with full facilities.

“ Felt very comfortable as I was travelling alone however it wouldn't be my first choice for young people or younger couples as the main group of customers appeared to be of retirement age. Quiet, clean, comfortable, good staff and certainly a place I would consider to make my base in the future. The food was fine and plentiful.
I requested a change of room as my original allocation was above the bar and I didn't want to stay awake until after midnight when the music stopped, All requests were dealt with with courtesy and attentiveness.
Yes it is a bit out of the way but the shuttle bus takes care of that issue and there are one or two places close by, at this time of the year, maybe it is a bit quiet,however in the main season you would be very glad of the peace.

I didn't move much from the hotel locally as it served all my requirements.

“ The hotel was very clean and we had a lovely view of the sea from our room. The food was very good (however the buffet was very expensive at 22.50 Euros!) The food we had from the Piano bar was a lot more reasonable in price.
Breakfast was fantastic - cannot fault it. There was a free bus to Albufeira which was needed because the hotel was very secluded. There was not much to do around the area.
We enjoyed the indoor pool (but could not understand the need for swim hats, as we have never been asked to wear these before...)
A lovely hotel and we would stay there again if we ever returned to Portugal.

“ Top Tip: We found a secluded beach which was lovely, only 5-10 mins walk. Turn left out of the hotel and follow the small pathway - you will find it eventually!

“ Hotel was great however I thought they had a kids club and gym - maybe my mistake. Both were important to us.

“ Top Tip: The staff are the hotel cannot be faultied. They are want makes this hotel.
