Olhos Do Mar Hotel

“ Nice apartments. Great value, very nice and helpful cleaners, competent receptionist. Excellent location, near the beach (10 minutes walk), shops (market across the road), bust stop (5 minutes walk).

“ We have used Travel Republic before and have found everything to be satisfactory. We were well situated and the complex was small and clean.

“ Top Tip: Tavertinos bar grill recommended. Situated next door to our appartment block.

“ Only one receptionist seems to deal with all matters. Reception open 9am to 1pm and 4pm to about 9pm each day. If you arrive outside these hours, you have to wait until it reopens.
The pool is very small and the sunbathing area is soon full.
The hotel is generally tidy but needs a facelift. It has a tired feel to it.
No air conditioning in rooms. The TV was small with poor reception of five portuguese channels. The kitchen had a microwave oven, a fridge and a new kettle in it. The dishes in cupboards were a bit dusty on arrival.
Underground parking was free.
For the money, it was reasonable value I suppose and provided adequate facilities.
If I couldn't afford to spend more, I was use this hotel again.

“ Top Tip: Ecomarche supermarket across the road from this hotel was quite well stocked but go early for fresh bread.

“ very basic accommodation, the staff on reception pleasant arranging taxi when required, didn't chance the pool as it appeared no chlorine or filters were being used. The facilities could do with updating. Location good to the village of Olhos do Mar with a reasonable choice of restaurants and bars and the beach's were excellent with attendants in situ, but wouldn't describe it as in Albufeira.
