This hotel received its first guests in March 2008. It stands overlooking Praia da Falesia in the charming town of Olhos de egua, close to Albufeira in the Algarve. Facilities available to guests in the air-conditioned, 310-room beach hotel include a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out services, currency exchange facilities and lift access, as well as a games room, TV lounge, bar and breakfast room. Guests may also make use of the conference facilities, car park and garage, and the hotel's younger guests may spend some time in the children's playground. For an additional fee, guests can take advantage of the bicycle hire service, Internet access and room and laundry services.With an outstanding location on a cliff and surrounded by abundant green areas, the hotel enjoys direct access to the sea and the exceptional 8 km-long beach which is washed by the clear, calm waters of the Algarve sea. It is just 500 metres away from a shopping centre with restaurants and bars. The nearest bus station is approximately 200 m from the beach hotel, and Faro Airport is around 31 km away.The hotel rooms are equipped with individually controlled air conditioning and heating, satellite LCD TV, a minibar, direct dial telephone and tea and coffee making facilities. There is a safe in each room, available for an extra fee, as well as a private bathroom with bath and shower, hairdryer and make-up mirror. The bedroom features double beds and a seating area with table and arm chairs. Guests may enjoy a private balcony with furniture, and Internet access is available in all rooms.After a refreshing drink at the water's edge, a reviving plunge in one of the pools, a trip to the beach, a game of tennis or an invigorating massage, sit back and enjoy one of the Algarve's most beautiful views from one of the hotel's restaurants. Guests can make the most the most of their holiday at the hotel by truly relaxing. Guests may relax in the sauna (fees apply) or by using the sun loungers and parasols provided by the pool and poolside snack bar, as well as by selecting from a range of spa treatments (fees apply). Other sport and leisure activities available for an additional fee include tennis, pool/snooker, mini golf, biking or a round of golf on the Pine Cliffs golf course, which is approximately 1.5 km from the hotel. An entertainment programme for adults is organised by the hotel. Guests may also enjoy a game of bocce or hire sun loungers and parasols for a fee on the nearby sandy beach.Enter the E1 motorway in the direction of Oeste and Norte/Lisboa and take exit number 2 (Boliqueime). Follow the N270 to Poeo de Boliqueime. At the traffic lights, turn left onto the N125 in the direction of Faro. Continue on the N125 until the end of Vila De Maritenda. After 800 m, exit right in the direction of Albufeira. Simply follow the signs until reaching the hotel.

“ This is our second visit to this hotel in 7 months and found it as brilliant as the first time. Very friendly staff who cannot do enough to help, very clean, calm and the best accomodation we have ever stayed in. Rooms taken care of daily, carpeted rooms which takes away the noise of people walking around in other rooms, nothing locally keeps you awake noise wise and although there are a lot of steps to access the beach it is very beautiful. Will definitley be staying in a Porto Bay hotel again!! Situated in a lovely little village which has more to offer in high season than perhaps you may think as we certainly discovered this time. Not many restaurants open locally out of season but a buzzing little village in the summer. Better still, through this site we paid less than half the price than booking directly with the hotel.
“ Top Tip: take time to explore, there is more on offer than first appearance shows as its easy to asssume the walk to the beach is all there is to offer, looking around other side streets is a must.

“ Lovely hotel - as good as some 5* hotels I've stayed in. Helpful & friendly staff (particulary in the restaurant). Stayed in a junior suite, the extra room was excellent. Handy for the beach and the local village (large supermarket about 10 mins walk away).
“ Top Tip: If you up to a good walk, then take a walk along the beautiful beach to Villamoura and the marina. At a good pace, takes around 90 mins each way. Set off mid-morning, have lunch in the marina, then walk back.

hotel was lovely,great location overlooking sea.staff couldn't do enough for us.
i had a complimentary bottle of champagne in room on my 40th birthday which was a lovely surprise. weather was cold/ wet when we stayed there as end of season was mainly closed down in village but only a short ride to albufeira strip/ old town in taxi approx 6-8 euros. beautiful buffet for breakfast with free cava too! happy hour cocktails/drinks in bar 5-6pm. spa area was great with lovely indoor heated pool. would definaetly recommend hotel/ area to others just wouldnt go so late in season next time.
“ Top Tip: a freindly welcome in english bar picwicks near seafront, albufeira strip area had some great restaurants including the golden garden chinese which we ate at twice in four days, best we have tasted and very reasonable too. wild and co was stuning steak and ambience was fantastic. there's a lovely coffe shop/bakery on way down to beach selling fresh cakes/ bread for under a euro and tastes fab!

The hotel is in a beautiful peaceful location with outstanding sea views and access to the beach.
The hotel itself is of an exceptionally high standard and the staff absolutely fantastic!!! Friendly and offered outstanding service.
Would highly recommend it and would love to go back!!
The evening entertainment was a little staid and could do with being less repetitive.
Again though the bar staff were fantastic and looked after us all brilliantly!

“ Our 4th visit to this hotel. The minute we walk in we start to unwind. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, easy check in. Nothing too much trouble. We asked to change to a seaview room which was no problem&we were invited to view the room before we accepted it. The view from room 339 is amazing. The sunrises are worth getting up early for! Cleaning staff are the most efficient, friendly people we've met-even help with your Portugese pronunciation! Food varied and more than your average choice of buffet food. The cava is a lovely touch at breakfast,especially when you can sit outside to enjoy it. Again a friendly team,the restaurant manager thinks nothing of mucking into help in any area,which us good to see. Anyway, another relaxing stay and we will be back!
“ Top Tip: It's worth going down to the beach despite the steps. If you can't face the 140ish steps back up you can walk into village beach with only an easy couple of areas of low rock to climb when tide is out. It's worth doing just to look at the wildlife in the rockpools.

This lively 3 star complex is situated in an animated area in the city of Benidorm, just 300 m away from the well known Levante Beach. In the nearby area guests can find all kinds of restaurants, bars and shops to make their holidays a more pleasant experience. The hotel consists of a main building and 5 smaller ones and features amenities suitable for the whole family such as swimming pools, children's playground and mini club (high season) and a varied entertainment programme. It has also a spacious buffet restaurant presenting show-cooking and theme buffets every day. The closest airport in Alicante is about 60 km. away.
“ This was our second visit to this hotel and wont be our last! We have previously stayed at the Rialto, Calypso and Orange - we rate the Pueblo the best.

“ Hotel and staff first class. Golf course was in good condition considering all the rain that had fallen before we arrived. Would recommend this hotel for a few days away in the sun golfing. Would go back to the resort it was lovely. However Vilamoura the closest big town was 10 mins in a taxi, not alot to do threre. The marina was very commercialised, too much like any seaside town in U.K. !!

Located in Praia da Galé this hotel offers privacy, intimacy and luxury, ideal for couples looking for absolute rest and relaxation. The SPA "Satsanga" includes a mega Jacuzzi, a sauna, a Turkish bath, fitness room and a selection of treatments and massages and 2 tennis courts (these are chargeable locally and rates include use of a towel). The hotel also features the 'Inevitável' Restaurant.

Sol e Mar Hotel is situated in a prime location in the Algarve, and is internationally popular through personal touch and elegant style.
