Sol e Mar Hotel is situated in a prime location in the Algarve, and is internationally popular through personal touch and elegant style. The hotel commands an impressive position in the centre of the old town of Albufeira, set into a cliff with magnificent sweeping view of the bay, directly above the splendid sandy beach of Albufeira, which can be reached from the hotel lift or a gentle walk from the road down some steps. The hotel also offers room service during the day, indoor pool heated in winter and hairdryer on request.

We were very pleased with this hotel. The room was large with a big balcony & table and chairs. The fridge was dated as was the bathroom but on the whole most comfortable. The views were amazing.
Although on the beach, the hotel is in the center of the town, with countless places to shop and eat within easy reach. Perhaps a little difficult for people with walking problems.
Breakfast & evening meals were self service with more than enough different dishes.

Great location, clean rooms, good dining facilities. Was put off by outside noise at sea front viewing area ( Indian pipers ) very repetitive music.
Missed outdoor pool as sun beds are expensive ( 15 euro's ) on the beach.
Had to pay 15 euro's for hotel safety box, other hotels refund a portion of this charge but Sol E Mar don't.

“ Great location, hotel a bit dated. forget about indoor pool no changing facilities and need to go through restuarant for access,breakfast was poor if you like full english.rooms clean and comfortable but not 4 star standard , no tea or coffee making facilities , no hairdryer, only sky news and bbc world news channels in english. ideal for short stay.
