The Pestana Alvor Atlântico Residences Beach Suites is a self catering apartment complex situated on the stunning Alvor Beach, just 500 metres from the fishing village of Alvor with its many shops, restaurants and bars and only 5 kms from the city of Portimao. The nearby river estuary of the Alvor harbour is one of Portugal’s most valued sanctuaries.
Newly reopened after total refurbishment, the Pestana Alvor Atlântico Residences Beach Suites offers modern, bright and spacious studios and apartments fitted with well appointed kitchenettes, many of which have a balcony and breathtaking panoramic views over the ocean. Leisure facilities at Pestana Alvor Atlântico Residences Beach Suites include indoor and outdoor saltwater pools, a fitness centre, sauna and Turkish bath. There is a separate children’s swimming pool and a seasonal kids club.
The facilities of the Restaurant Atlântico at the Pestana D. João II Hotel may be used. Meal supplements apply.

“ Just returned from short break at Atlantica, which we have enjoyed immensley. Apartments are excellent, only a couple of quibbles no balcony light and no hairdryer but on the whole superb. Maid very helpful as were reception staff, little confusing when we arrived (got there in middle of night), where to check in but taxi driver obviously knew the ropes and waited whilst we chceked in then drove us to apartment. Breakfast was excellent with wide choice of food, beach a short walk, Alvor a good 10 min walk but worth when you get there.
“ Top Tip: Beahc bars are great but expensive, go into Alvor much cheaper.

“ These apartments have been upgraded to a very high standard. Maid service provided every day and apartmnent was spotless. View from balcony was great The reception is in the Dom Joao Hotel and all facilities there can be used.
“ Top Tip: Next to the apartments is a supermarket. This was so handy for popping out to obtain fresh bread or rolls for breakfast etc etc

“ The apartment was great, excellent facilities (but no hair dryer) overlooking the sea, fantastic beach. Room service excellent and the food in Dom Joao II was very good. 10 minute walk into Alvor. The harbour is lovely and has certainly changed since we last came 15 years ago.

NB: Guests need to be informed that for all accommodation on the Pestana complex they need to report initially to the reception at Dom Joao II Hotel. We spent ages walking round trying to find a reception!

Top Tip:
The fantastic beach offers many cafes and restaurants but some are closed on Mondays.
The harbour side cafes are a must.

The Suites are next to the beach and are a 20 minute walk to the centre of Alvor
Our suite was nicely refurbished, although it was very small for 2 adults and one child
The outside pool was excellent with plenty of space around it, there was never a problem getting sun beds, you also get free pool towels each day
The inside pool was also very usefull when the weather was poor
