This recent and modern hotel in Algarve, it has a fantastic design and it is an ideal choice for a family vacation. The Hotel comprises a total of 55 apartments spread over 6 floors. In the air-conditioned lobby there is a 24-hour reception desk, a currency exchange desk and lifts. Dining options include a bar and an air-conditioned restaurant. Within the hotel there is also a games room, a TV lounge, Internet access and WLAN. Those arriving by car may use the hotel car park.Located on the sandy Beach of Tres Irmeos, 1 km from the picturesque village of Alvor, 5 km from the city of Portimeo and only 15km to the seaside town of Lagos. The hotel provides stunning views of the Ocean and the Coast with its fantastic yellow cliffs. The centre of Alvor and many restaurants, bars and shops are approximately 1 km away and nightclubs around 4 km away.A total of 55 luxury apartments with kitchenette, type T0, T1, T2 all sea side and fully equipped with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a kitchenette, fridge, cooker, microwave, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities and ironing equipment. All the apartments have individual air conditioning and hire safety deposit box.In the outdoor complex is a swimming pool, a sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols. Indoors there is another swimming pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna and a steambath. Sports enthusiasts can also make use of the gym. In the summer, guests can go banana boating, water skiing, jet skiing, motor boating, diving, surfing, windsurfing, sailing, and hire catamarans, canoes and pedaloes. Other activities offered are horse riding, road or mountain biking, and play tennis, billiards and golf. Moreover, there are 8 other golf courses within an 18-km radius.Leave the airport and follow the signs to the highway A22. Take A22 in the direction of Portimeo/Lagos. Leave A22 at the exit 4 Alvor. You will find two roundabouts. Follow the signs to Alvor. First, appears Montes de Alvor after an aerodrome, then signs to Pestana Hotels such as Pestana Alvor Praia, Pestana Delfim, Pestana D. Joeo II Village, Pestana Alvor Atlentico and Pestana Alvor Park. Continue until Alvor village. All Pestana hotels are clearly signposted from Alvor center.

“ We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Ideally located, equidistant from the beach and the town, the ambience was quiet and restful. Service throughout was attentive yet unobtrusive and the facilites were excellent. The rooms were spacious, with fully equipped kitchenettes, room separators to distinguish between living/dining and bedroom areas and the balconies were huge! We particularly appreciated the fact that seats and sun loungers had been placed around the rockery garden and not just in the pool area. The fitness room contained all the latest equipment and the library had a telvision, internet corner, puzzles, decks of cards, books and games, together with up to date newspapers. Even the magazines in the bar were current issues! We can't wait to go back!

Top Tip:
1. Georget's restuarant, just behind the taxi rank is a must! Georget greets all her customers individually and the food is excellent. Try the pork steak with plums or any of the fish dishes.
2. Mister Alvor restuarant is also recommended for its variety of dishes and quality of service.
3. The Navigator restuarant serves huge fish portions, not to mention the best Algarvian cake I tasted throughout the holiday.
4. For self-catering, go to Pingo Doce Supermarket close to the camping area, on the way into town. Alternatively, if approaching from the town centre, it is just a 5 minute walk out of town from the taxi rank. Once again, the easiest way to reach it is to follow the signs to the camping area. Unlike Ali-Super in the town cente, Pingo Doce is a full-sized and fully stocked (!) supermarket, where it is possible to do a full weekly shop (or for longer) of all grocery and household needs for ex-pats, locals or holidaymakers There is also a small cafe in the bakery area of the supermarket.

“ This is a modern boutique hotel with a great indoor and outdoor pool. It is ultra modern with great sized rooms. The staff on the whole are excellent - only the breakfast staff are a bit grumpy. There is no atmosphere with regards to dining or drinking it that is what you are looking for. Nothing really for younger kids. Beach and town are a good 15 minutes away. If you are looking for a chilled out base with great rooms this is the place for you.

“ very clean, spacious,modern hotel with adequite facilities friendly staff .the down side is the hotel food & drink prices .we stayed in a few nights and it would have been nice to have gone down to the bar and mingle but not at thous prices

Eurotel Altura is located close to Altura Beach, Verde Beach, and Manta Rota Beach. Other points of interest include Santo Antonio Beach and Santo Antonio Sports Complex. “ We had an excellent holiday the staff were very helpful and the courtesy bus three times a week meant we did not really need the car. Food was good and rooms very comfortable. The indoor pool in the wellness centre was small and you had to pay 7.50 euros to access but it was a very relaxing and enjoyable spa experience. Am planning to go back next year !!!

Located within walking distance of the beach, The Pestana Delfim Beach & Golf Hotel offers all inclusive holidays. The hotel has a great saltwater pool area, ideal for those seeking a peaceful and relaxing holiday in a sun drenched seaside atmosphere.
“ just back from an all inclusive holiday in the pestana delfim. i would highly recommend this hotel. our group consisted of six couples, the food was tasty and plentiful and the rooms were superb.we stayed in suites. all in all a very enjoyable time was had by all.

This apartment complex features a 5-storey main building and an annexe block with a total of 133 apartments. The building offers guests a reception desk, as well as a hairdressing salon and a beauty salon. Also to be found on the grounds are a bar, a TV room and a restaurant. For those who seek to have a calm drink near the fireplace during the less hot days at the Algarve, there is the Irish bar, with its friendly and cosy decoration, which makes it the perfect place for an afternoon of reading or lively social evenings. Those arriving by car may take advantage of the car park facilities. A laundry service is also available. The cosy studios and apartments come with a combined living room/bedroom, a bathroom with a bathtub and hairdryer, and a modern kitchenette with a stove, microwave, toaster, coffee machine and tea and coffee making facilities. “ The staff are friendly and very efficient . Any help required was almost instantly available. The manager is also accessable and appears to motivate his staff very well. If you wish to stay in the hotel the bar and restaurant are good, otherwise restaurants etc. are well within walking distance.

The Estrela do Vau Apartments are superbly situated next to the golf course, ‘Alto Golf’ at Vau, close to Praia do Alemao beach, and 2 km from the centre of Praia da Rocha. Peacefully positioned in its own gardens, this modern complex provides guests with 2 swimming pools, sun terraces, a restaurant and bar with a snooker table, a poolside snack bar and a lounge area. Plus Kids Club and Entertainment team during summer, mini golf and beauty centre. Each guest room features a kitchenette, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, hairdryer, safety box and a balcony.
“ We stayed here ( myself, my wife and three children aged 11 to 15) during the October half term holidays. We hired a car from the airport as it was cheaper than paying for a coach transfer(!) and had no trouble finding the hotel (following directions left in another review on this site).
