Rocha Brava Apartments

“ Really lovely complex - though it is big. We were lucky and got allocated a one bedroom studio with a seaview near the reception, pool, supermarket etc. the apartment itself was large with a big balcony and it was kept spotless, housekeeping came everyday but sunday. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is a big flat screen tv with english channels and sunbeds on the balcony. The site itself is lovely and very well maintained, with lush grounds and three pools as well as other amenitites. All the staff we met were very friendly and welcoming and the food in the grill and restaurant was very nice, and the supermarket reasonably priced. The only down side is rocha brava isn't really near anything, there are a couple of restaurants but thats it. Carveiro is a short drive but not really walkable in hot temps, though the site does provide a free mini bus to the town three times a day. Its also impossible to find the beach! All in all a lovely resort, one of the best we've been to, which i would definately recommend and return to.

“ Top Tip: The rocha mar opposite the entrance to the complex has good food and very friendly staff. Also Onze on Carveiro Beach is very good.

“ We don't normally go to the same place twice, but we enjoyed the first visit so much that we decided to chance it a second time, we were not disappointed. We requested no steps and that's what we got just near the pool and restaurant. We went half board and the restaurant O'Farol was fabulous, the waiters were brilliant and always greeted us with a smile, and made sure we got what we wanted, the choice of food was always good,they also went the extra mile for the children's meals. There was a shop on site a bit expensive but convenient. The other restaurant on site (next to the shop) was good also.

“ Top Tip: The further inland you get, the cheaper and the better the food gets. Couple of terrific little restaurants in old part of Alicantarilha. Don't look like much but hard to beat.
