The hotel is good overall. It gives the impression of having a different previous use for the building. Inside there is plenty of space but mostly wasted and a lack of pictures. Rooms are very clean and well-maintained but there are no wardrobes. Only one lift was working and there was no 'stairs' alternative as they were for emergency exit only and unlit. The service in the restaurant is superb. Staff have been well-trained and the food is excellent in terms of content and presentation. Reception service is very good. They looked after our money and passports for us because the 'strong box' in the room was not fixed to anything.
It is odd that so much was good and yet there were features that need attention. Managers should feally take a good look around, get a second opinion and really find out what four star customers want.
“ Top Tip: Plenty of reasonable restaurants very close

Ideal location in the heart of Faro and near the harbour. It is located a few minutes walk from restaurants and numerous coffee shops. It is also about 10 minutes walk to Faro old town and the Cathedral.
The hotel certainly deserved its 4 star rating. It was very clean and beautifully furnished. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a side room overlooking the narrow streets but we still had a view of the harbour - wonderful!
We would recommend the hotel and will certainly be returning to Faro.
“
Top Tip:
Numerous independent coffee shops and great restaurants serving dishes of locally caught seafood.
Walk the streets of the old town where there are dozens of Moorish-style old houses. Visit the old town square lined with orange trees and order fantastic coffee from the coffee shop near the Cathedral.

“ The hotel was lovely, with great breakfasts. The staff were friendly, and the rooms were very clean and tidy. The only down side was that it was close to some disco's and we had 3 nights when we didn't have any sleep. It is not really a hotel for holiday-makers, and appears to have more people who stay for one or two nights on business.
“ Top Tip: All the restaurants we went to were very good. We found plenty, and chose to go to traditional Portuguse restaurants. The Roman Walls, Museums, and generally the history of Faro was very interesting, and just as you think you have walked around Faro, you find another part to explore. The marina just outside the hotel is also lovely.

Hotel was very clean and room very spacious, problem was, no atmosphere, probaly
due to time of year also resturant/bar being on top floor didnt help.
breakfast was fine.
“
Top Tip:
Go into the town for local bars/restaurants, much better value, fish is very popular
although finding a resturant that cooks to your taste may be difficult, we found a good
restaurant on last day, typical!!!
Ideal place for 3/4 days but Faro is a typical capital town.
Train service is very good and cheap, lots of villages and small towns to see.
