Good central location and excellent value for money. Very friendly and helpful reception. We asked for a room at the back, away from the street to avoid a sleepless night - had room 309 which overlooked back yard and roof tops but absolutely no outside noise heard at all. However we found Faro very quiet on a rainy Monday night before Easter so would probably have been ok on the front too. Beds a little hard for me but husband thought ok.
Good spread for included breakfast: selection of breads, cakes, cheese, ham, fruit and juices etc. and small hot buffet (scrambled eggs, beans, sausage ...). Pleasant cafe in foyer. Free wi-fi. Would certainly stay here again.
“ Top Tip: Hotel's 6th floor roof terrace: no facilities but great views over Ria Formosa marshes and sea. However perimeter wall only mid thigh height so keep kids away!

“ Near to transport links, cafe's and shops. This hotel was the best place to eat and drink as far as we were concerned, good quality and reasonably priced. It was clean and the staff were brilliant.
“ Top Tip: Went to tavira for a day on the train,it's a nice old town but was hilly in places, much preferred to go west towards villamora and albufiera, its a lot nicer.

“ This hotel is great, our room was very comfortable and clean, we ate at the hotel restaurant as the meals are excellent, good value for money, as is the snack bar. All staff are very polite and friendly they could not be more helpful. It is ideally situated for the train, bus and taxi stations. We would not hesitate to stay here again and would certainly recommend it to friends and families. The only downside is that telephone calls from the room are expensive.
“ Top Tip: The marina is close by only a short walk away, shopping plazas, and we found Faro Cathedral well worth a visit to climb the tower for outstanding views and the residential storks.

“ I am a little suprised that this hotel has a 4 star rating with Trip Adviser. On entering the hotel reception we ignored by the female receptionist while she fiddled with her computer. Not even an aknowlegement while we waited for her attention. Our allocated room (301) was small and cramped to say the least and a one to avoid. The plug mechanism did not work in the wash basin and the toilet seat was broken / loose. There was a safety deposit box in the wardrobe which had become detached from the wall and was loose making its purpose rather useless. The shower cubicle was more suitable for children rather than a 6Ft adult. Plus points the room / bathroom was very clean and the water in the shower much better than the average. The bed comfortable no complaints with housekeeping deparment. The location in Faro is good and close to the shopping area and restaurants. Breakfast was a rather a let down only one small serving pan off hot food which was in the main almost empty. On requesting it to be refilled we were led to the kitchen where the staff would not come out but did manage to to inform us via the waitress that there was a problem with heating / cooking in the kitchen.( Must have had the same problem the day before too) I feel left wondering how this hotel has such a high rating unless there has been some changes. It would not take much time to improve the above faults, and possible a hospitality course for front of house would not come amiss. I would like to point out that the young gentleman on the reception on an evening was very polite and extremely helpfull offering information on parking and restaurants. I dont like giving poor reviews but it may help to have these points mentioned and hopefully have them corrected
“ Top Tip: Some of the smaller local restaurants to very good set meal special offers at both lunchtime and evening. Finding a pub may be difficult it does not appear to have caught on in Faro but I did find one. All the resaturants do sell alcohol if you really have the need.
