“ The duplex town house we stayed in was very spacious and cleaned everyday. Two nice pools in large spacious grounds.
“ Top Tip: Definitely need a car. The beaches at Benagil and Marinha well worth a visit. Primavera restaurant on outskirts of Carvoeiro serves good food and staff very friendly.

We stumbled across this place but saw the good reviews and booked Easter week for c£500. I was pleasantly surprised that the resort replied to a few email queries I had before we got there which I took as a good sign. Resort fairly easy to find (once you are heading out of Faro in the right direction....) but definitely take a detailed map especially if travelling at night as it is a bit tucked away. Arrived about 22,30 and very helpful reception, we had a townhouse which was ideal with 3 kids (although only 2 bedrooms so one slept on sofabed in lounge). We had a great week, weather bit mixed but generally sunny, we self catered so just had the breakfast buffet a couple of times which the kids enjoyed (€10 + €5 for kids which seemed reasonable and they defintely got their €5 worth...!)
You really need a car as there is nothing walkable, we drove to all the local toursit spots and beaches (which are great although can lack facilities) as well as the supermarket so the car was money well spent. The resort itself is excellent, very well looked after, large grounds, Kids club, small gymn, tennis court and 2 pools so ideal with kids. Probably not the best place if you want night life as it is quiet and you would need to drive to any bars etc.
All in all, the kids loved it and we had a relaxing week mixing sightseeing and a bit of lounging by the pool (still v.cold for swimming in!).

Resort is very nice but you do need to hire a car if you want to do any sight seeing as there is nothing in walkable distance

Lovely hotel, very clean, quiet location. We stayed in a 2 bed townhouse which was very spacious & had a well equipped kitchen (including dishwasher & washing machine). The hotel was very quiet when we visited in mid-October - some mornings we were the only people by the pool.
We ate breakfast in the hotel which served in the pool bar - it was a good standard & nice to be able to eat outside. We only had one evening meal in the hotel restaurant - we chose from the al a carte menu which was reasonably priced (comparable to other local restaurants) and tasted delicious. We would have eaten their more but found less formal local restaurants more suitable for us with a lively 18 month old.

Top Tip:
Would definitely recommend hiring a car as local beaches (especially Marinha) and restaurants (the ones in Benagil in particular) are only a few minutes drive away and are well worth a visit.
For self catering, there are a number of large supermarkets within a few minutes drive, both in Lagoa and Carvoeiro - the hotel reception staff will point you in the right direction.
