“ Hotel was clean and pleasant, staff were friendly. However little extras like having to pay a euro to use the pool are just uneccessary and oh my god the drinks are expensive.

“ we booked a one bedroomed apartment for the weekend for the World superbike event at Portemao and we were upgraded to a two bedroomed apartment. the apartment was out of this world - superb in fact. yes a few ants in the bathroom but nothing too scary. it would have been perfect if we had gone with our two teenagers as there was masses of space and two bathrooms to chose from too. a massive kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher and fridge freezer and a balcony to die for. we never ate there or used the pool but it looked clean and pretty to sunbathe - and in the sun.
it is on top of a steep hill but within 10 minutes walk down the hill you are at the marina where there are places to eat - quite cheap too. another 5 minutes and you are in the main centre of Lagos - which has everything that you would need for a holiday. the walk back up the hill - perhaps 30 minutes. i did it once but ohter times we got a taxi for 4 euros. i would stay here for a family holiday with teenagers - we never went to the beach though in lagos. perhaps if you are beach people this hotel would be too far out for you.

“ Top Tip: we enjoyed the bars and restaurants by the marina - and found them quite cheap and the food lovely.

“ The apartments were beutiful, very clean, every facility you needed. We did not have a kettle as some of the previous reviews mentioned but a visit to reception, within the hour one had been placed in our kitchen! fantastic. We had spectacular views over the marina. The grounds were well maintained as was the pool area although the pool was cold once you were in the fun was just as good! Would recomend little cafe bar in the main square called Gil Eanes, burgers/fries and the like for lunch and lovely cocktails before evening dinner. Spoilt for choice in the main streets of Lagos for food of all description, we had italian, chinese, lots of beautiful fresh fish and of course ice creams, Cannot wait to go back and will without a doubt be going back to these apartments whether just the two of us or with friends and family. Could not fault Travel Republic once again.

“ Top Tip: Would recommend Gil Eanes for drinks and lunch, an italian called Borcillino's this is a little out of the main area by the Lidl store, turn left at the roundabout going out of town at the marina end over the next island and then left at the next roundabout, and a restaurant call O Charco in one of the main streets off the centre.

“ Lovely apartment complex. We had a one bedroom apartment which was very spacious with a very large balcony. The furniture and decor were modern and in excellent condition. The swimming area was very clean with plenty of beds. The beach is 15-20 minutes walk and the main town area is about the same with a fairly steep hill on your return to the apartment, but my five year old child managed to walk up the hill every day and night with no problems.

“ Top Tip: Anna dona beach is very nice but gets very busy. Caravella resturant in the main lagos town area is very nice.
