Marina São Roque Hotel

“ Due to a late arrival the hotel owner was personally there to check us in. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place was very clean and although perhaps small, the room was adequately furnished. Our room came with a balcony overlooking the pool, possibly the best side of the establishment due to being quieter. A fridge and tea/coffee making facilities would have been a bonus. Our visit was at the end of the season and so there were few guests. The owner opened the bar for us without hesitation during the evening. One of the receptionists was up early for our departure at 7am. They really were a helpful team. The pool area was really nice, complete with loungers and poolside loos and shower. A nice area in which to relax. We appreciated the character of the restaurant which was decorated in Portugese style with tiles, plates etc.

“ Top Tip: The Marina Lagos, about 10 minutes walk had many bars/cafes. One we would recommend is CAIS Bar Bistro which served good food. A meal for 2, steak, glass of wine and dessert each plus coffee was 54 Euros. As the beautiful beaches are rather a walk taking the Little train from the Marina is a great idea. A 2.50 Euro ticket takes you to the lighthouse at the end of the headland then Dona Anna beach. You can then return on the same ticket. Lovely beach with a cafe.

“ Top Tip: Marine Bar on the Marina was a good place for a drink to watch the sunset, The Navagodor restaurant in the old town was best food we found [and affordable]

“ Hotel was exactly as describd by previous customers. Close to marina & Lagos centre but was disappointed that room at rear ( by my request as on busy main rd ) had no facilities whatsoever just tv & bathroom. This would have been ok but cost did not reflect this.
