A playground and car parking facilities are to be found outside.This attractive apartment complex is located in a quiet residential area of Lagos, just 800 m from beautiful, sandy Porto Mes beach, to which there is a shuttle bus service. Lagos Old Town is less than 1 km away, and many shopping and entertainment venues are to be found in the vicinity.The welcoming apartments each come with a bathroom, a combined living room/bedroom, a separate bedroom, TV, air conditioning and a hire safe. The apartments also each have a balcony or terrace and are cleaned on departure.There is an outdoor swimming pool with a pool bar in the grounds, as well as parasols and sun loungers laid out ready for use (additional fees apply). Leisure options include tennis courts, pool/snooker tables and a seasonal entertainment programme.From Faro Airport via the A22 motorway: Exit Faro Airport onto the main road alongside the airport roundabout (with statues looking to the sky), and follow the signs for Faro and the A22. Continue along this road for approximately 2.5 km. Take the second exit to the right, signposted 'A22/Lisbon/Portimeo'. This slip road will lead onto a busy dual carriageway; keep following this, and after a few minutes get into the left lane to take the IP1 signposted 'Espanha-Lisboa'. After approximately 1.5 km, take the slip road signposted 'Portimeo' (do NOT take the turning before this signposted 'Espanha'). This will lead to the A22 motorway. Continue westwards on the A22 for approximately 65 km, and take exit number 1 for Lagos, signposted 'Vila do Bispo/Sagres/Lagos' (please do not take the first Lagos exit, number 2, signposted 'Lagos Este', but rather the following one). Drive straight through the 1st roundabout, following the sign indicating 'Lagos/Vila do Bispo/Sagres'. At the second roundabout, turn left, following the sign indicating 'Lagos'. Drive straight through the next roundabout. Afterwards, there will be a supermarket called Intermarche on the right-hand side. At the traffic lights, turn right and drive straight ahead for 900 m. We found the apartment to be very large and comfortably furnished. The complex was very pleasant and we would return there again.
The kitchen would have benefitted from a kettle and microwave but apart from that it was fine.

“ The hotel is situated about 15 mins walk from the nearest beach and local restaurants which are amazingly good. The rooms are spacious and cleaned regulary. I would highly recommend staying here and in fact I have booked it again for next year. Why not? great weather, food and accommodation. Only the ground floor apartments would be suitable for those with mobility difficulities, however there are plenty to choose from. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful

“ The hotel is situated about 1/2 a mile from the main seafront street and is therefore a 15 minute walk through a mainly residential / apartment block area. Some building is still going on adjacent but we never hear anything.

The building was constructed on a main road in 1997 and consists of a total of 15 double rooms on 2 floors. Guests are offered a beautiful large garden and pool area (500 me), a roof terrace with a charming panoramic view, a spacious lobby with safes, lifts, a currency exchange counter and a 24-hour reception. In addition, there is a TV room and lounge, a cafe, a cosy bar and an air-conditioned e la carte restaurant with separate non-smoking area. Guests may also make use of the hotel's laundry service and the public Internet terminal. In addition, the hotel has its own car park and offers a bicycle rental service.
“ Very pleasant and really clean. Friendly staff. Beautiful poolside area. Two min drive to a nice beach. Would have preferred a slightly more nourishing breakfast, but is suited continentals. Would be very happy to stay there again. Simple touches like soft bathrobes and mini bar fridge in room add to the quality experience.

The Hotel Marina Soa. Roque is ideally located in the residential and commercial area of the Lagos Marina, a pleasant 600 metre walk from the long, sandy beach of Meia Praia. The historic city of Lagos is less than 1 km away along a lovely promenade with shops, restaurants, cafes and bars and is well worth a visit. This family-run hotel offers a welcoming and friendly environment. The hotel occupies three floors (with lift access) and has 33 comfortable bedrooms with balconies, air conditioning, telephone, cable TV and safe. All rooms are decorated in a traditional Portuguese style. The air conditioned public areas consists of a breakfast room, bar and lounge area with a selection of books, games, free wireless Internet and a TV room. Outside is a spacious sun terrace with a swimming pool, sunbathing area and a shaded veranda. Free parking is available.
“ Due to a late arrival the hotel owner was personally there to check us in. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place was very clean and although perhaps small, the room was adequately furnished. Our room came with a balcony overlooking the pool, possibly the best side of the establishment due to being quieter.

The hotel was originally built in 1968 and in 1993 underwent major renovation with the addition of 60 rooms. The hotel has undergone further renovation of the exterior façade as well as of the rooms' interiors. The hotel currently has a total of 103 rooms. The lobby area offers wireless, public internet access, as well as a 24-hour reception. In addition, the hotel has a bar, a breakfast room, TV room and games room. Guests arriving by car may make use of the car park and car and bicycle hire is also offered. The reception is open 24 hours. All rooms include a bathroom and terrace. In addition, they are also equipped with a telephone, satellite TV, air conditioning/heating and safety box (subject to a charge).
“ This hotel is a great place to stay. Spotlessly clean and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. We loved having breakfast on the rooftop terrace overlooking the sea. The rooftop pool is lovely. The hotel is very close to the beach but there are a lot of wooden steps to get down so you need to be fit! Extremely quiet location so if you like rowdy then this is not for you.

“ Was a lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Accomodation was off a very good standard and the self-service breakfast catered for everyone. Only draw back was if your room was to the back of the hotel there is a bus station so you get woken up early every morning. Would still recommend but take ear plugs if at the back of the hotel.
