“ Top Tip: Lovely village, peace and quiet during May. Hire the bikes from the Hotel and visit Vila Real Sn Antonio, you can also get to this village walking along the beach, clean all the way up.

“ The hotel was very nice, we had a lovely suite and that was fine but the food let the hotel down. The breakfast was ok but the dinner was less so. There was only one meat most nights and one of them was pork spare ribs or one fish. There was no cold meat to have a salad with so we ended up with chip buns. It was all only warm none of it hot. I was very disappointed in the food. Last year we stayed at the Vasco de Gama and the food was very good so we will bw there next year. This is the first time I have ever criticised the food anywhere we have been.

“ the hotel was always clean and tidy, the room was kept and cleaned to a very high standard. the food was not bad a good selection in the buffet for both breakfast and dinner, although sometimes was a little over cooked, there was no coffee available for the evening meal and had to be purchased in the bar upstairs. the staff were always freindly and very helpful.there is a very small selection of books in the library and not many in english so take a book with you. overall a very good hotel for not a lot of money.
“ Top Tip: a good english hairdresser called linda in the town. a nice bar/cafe opposite the casino with very good staff which served a good reasonably priced snacks during the day.if you like a good walk go to the main road and turn left pass the caravan site and turn left into a wooded area and you can walk to the next town(san antonio) about 3 miles.
