“ May 2012 - Our 4th Stay - Very Clean - Well maintained and improved over the last few years - Excellent maid service, resturant and front desk staff. We have a soft spot for the Head Waiter who reminds us a little of "Basil Faulty" in his demeanor but who is excellent at his job. We will be back again in September.
“ Top Tip: Ed & Willem's Dutch EEt-Cafe on the sea front - Highly recomended staff and food

“ we thought the hotel was very good until we realised that the hotel 'cats' had been at some point in our room.Our last morning early checkout packed breakfast was very welcome until we ate the sandwich at the airport to find the bread ws green mouldy. unfortunately we had ate some of it.Other than that we found the staff to be extremely helpful and efficient.
“ Top Tip: restaurant Vale Do Douro- and opposite there a small cafe that served a really lovely cup of tea. husband wife and son.

“ Really enjoyed our weeks stay here. The rooms were clean and comfortable with an exceptionally large clean bathroom. Breakfast was adequate in the pleasant dining room. Can't comment on the evening meals as only stayed bed and breakfast. Reception was manned at all times and staff were very helpful. Would stay at this hotel again.
“ Top Tip: Easy to get about on the train or bus - need to walk about 25 minutes to train station.
