Club Riu Guarana

“ Great hotel; clean, spacious, modern. Two of three bars out of action in low season but not missed except in the evening when some additional space would have been nice. Dining room and selection of food good but less choice than other Riu hotels. Quiet before Easter but was getting v busy with Spanish families when left. This changed feel of hotel and wouldn't relish a stay in mid-Summer if full. Situated about 5kms out of Albufeira in small town. Nice, not over developed and less touristy than many other Algarve resorts.

“ The hotel was ran like a well oiled machine. The staff were fantastic and the food and quality was superb. The rooms were spacious and well maintained and cleaned. The staff were very polite and friendly and everyone ensured that you were having a great time.
The only downside was the entertainment during the evening. Not the best. There was a couple of OK nights but the entertainment should be reviewed to provide a more enjoyable experience at night.
The food and drink were excellent with premier drinks available and the taps of beer/water/juice that were around the pool area made getting a cool drink a hassle free experience.
The restaurant managers ran their areas very well and there was no problems in getting a table (however big your party was) and ensuring you got highchairs etc that you needed.
We loved the hotel and the surrounding area is a lovely village which has some lovely beach bars to visit if you wish to leave the site. The beach was lovely and the water beautiful (as long as the waves are not too high).
Recommend this holiday to all families .

“ Top Tip: Beach lovely and if you walk round the beach you will come to some sun bed which were not too expensive. (12 Euros).

“ Location was on edge of a small village that was very pretty and right on the beach, and everyone friendly.All the hotel staff were also very friendly , food good but felt like a bun fight at meal times where everyone bustling to get to the buffet style set up, tables at breakfast were slow to be cleared in the restaurant but outside dining was better and quicker, only problem we had with outside dining, especially in evenings, was that people were allowed to smoke and we were dissapointed with that. loads entertainment/ activities for children and pool and surrounding areas all nice and clean. went all inclusive but also dined out a few times in the local restaurants which were good. Rooms were clean, no kettle though to make coffee/tea in mornings.

“ Top Tip: The local beach is small, lovely and clean and you can walk over to the next rocky little beach where hardly anyone went to and was so very pretty. Lovely restaurant looks over the beach called LA Cigale I think, enjoyed that. Lovely bakery in village fresh breads and cakes etc!.Well stocked souvenir shops.
