“ Beautiful, clean, modern hotel. Close to beach, bars and restaurants. Very disappointed with the apartment in the way it was represented on their website. Even though there are cooking facilities, you are not allowed to do any cooking apart from boiling some water in a steel jug to make tea/coffee. There were 4 of us staying in the apartment but there were only 2 plates, cups, saucers and 2 sets of cutlery. No cooking utensils or pans whatsoever. Not even a kettle (although i do believe that one is available in the most expensive rooms. If you like a cooked breakfast in the morning, forget it as the cooked food in the morning was of a very poor quality and mainly cold. There was however a small amount of fruit, bread, cold meat and cereal available. The pool is small, but adequate. It is however, in the shade from about 3:30 pm onwards, so get out early. The rules at the pool were quite ridiculous. No jumping in the pool, no floats allowed, no swimming under water? unbelievable. I know that all of these complaints are very small, but after a while they all add up and can take the sheen off a potentially stunning hotel. Maybe we just expected something different from what we got. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpull, some are even excellent and an asset to the company. Not really suited for families (maybe that was the main problem for us) but still a lovely, quiet hotel, more suited to couples and slightly older holiday makers. We are not wild party people in any way shape or form, but we just found the hotel a bit clinical and lifeless.
“ Top Tip: Some lovely restaurants nearby. Found the restaurant du sol (just across the road from the hagen das shop an along a little) very nice, and the baccus bar (nearer the top end, just across from the portugal shop) is very friendly with good food. Another friendly little bar if you fancy a quiet drink is bernies inn which is right next door to the hotel. Karl and Ray will make you feel right at home.
