“ This hotel isn't luxurious but is good value for money, staff friendly and helpful, food is fairly basic but what you'd expect for the money, there is plenty of choice outside if you want a change. 'Good Value'.
“ Top Tip: Fantastic sea food platter at 'Restaurante Forte Novo', they let us come back the next day to finish it! Along past the beach and next to a car park. Looks scruffy but grub is wonderful and the Portuguese go there.

Good value for money. Spotlessly clean. Pleasant staff. Convenient for bus station. Breakfast repetitious but good. Excellent spanish omelette.
Good central heating for winter break. Ample pillows and blankets available.
Very comfortable chairs in foyer. Wifi free.
Television up near ceiling in rooms so do not count on that for entertainment.
Rooms ending 01/02 do not get sun unless on a higher floor which would be an advantage in summer for coolness.
The usual problem of clacking heels on marble floors and guests shunting furniture. Ear plugs solve the problem. There is an outdoor pool but beach is so convenient and beautiful not an essential for sunbathers and swimmers.
“ Top Tip: Eva bus have introduced a 3 or 7 day travel pass. 7 days Euro 34.40 and is excellent value if you want to visit the Algarve. Faro, Vila Real S.Antonio, Loule and Lagos retain their portuguese character and are well worth visiting. Quarteira is a pleasant friendly town.

“ the hotel is ideal for older people wantimg a relaxed atmosphere there is nothing around for young children apart from the beach it is ideal for people with walking difficulties as the surrounding area is flat and the bus stop to go further afield is 300 metres away
“ Top Tip: the beach close by is very good but out of season there is nothing much to do but relax and go walking on the seafront promonade

The hotel consists of a one main building and a 2 storey neighbouring building with a total of 42 apartments. The hotel complex has a lobby with a 16-hour reception and a 7400-sq metr, Internet access, a bike cellar and bicycle hire are also available to guests. There is a games room available for children. Guests may park their cars in the car park.This attractive apartment hotel is ideally located between the holiday resorts of Vilamoura and Quarteira.
“ just come back really enjoyed our stay. studios really good size, and cleaners came every day.There are extra charges which we were not aware of when booking. ie, sauna , and be aware you need to take bathing hat for indoor pool.or pay.2 euros. all in all would definetly recommend this hotel ,clean and staff all very helpful.

Dom José Beach Hotel in Quarteira/Vilamoura totally renewed in January 2011. This unit is one of the most well located in the Algarve, with beachfront location and an absolutely beautiful view over the deep blue Atlantic Ocean. Just 20 minutes from Faro International Airport and 5 minutes from Vilamoura. In front of the Hotel, a long promenade invites you to a healthy walk and sightseeing and access to the famous Vilamoura marina. Enjoy the good local restaurants with typical food of the region.
“ I had a total stay of eleven nights at the Hotel Dom Jose, 23 Jan to 3 Feb. The room and hotel were generally clean and well serviced with the exceptions noted below. The buffet breakfast was acceptable, staff, friendly and helpful.

Built in 1985 and renovated, this hotel offers a total of 60 rooms in a 2 storey main building. The hotel has a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a cafe and a lift. The TV room and the air-conditioned e la carte restaurant with children's highchairs invite guests to visit. In addition, there is a conference room and a public Internet terminal. There is a kids' club and a playground available for children. Guests may park their cars in the car park or the garage. Room and medical services are available on request.
