“ Hard to fault as a hotel- although only three years old -it has a good quality staff

Friendly service from waiters (some from Eastern Europe). The rooms or rather

one bedroomed flats are specious,have lots of gadgets such as powered curtains-

yes really and a shower which takes a few minutes to work out how to work(they supply instructions!)as well as a seperate full bathroom each with a loo.

Superb breakfast buffet-although lunch menu is very restrictive in style unless you like hamburgers. Never tried the evening dinners.

Good quality house wine at a resonable price

Prices seem reasonable for a four star hotel which I would add a plus sign.

Good sized pool and a children's corner and play area -good for young families.

“ Top Tip: Quinta do Lago is very up market - clearly all golfers are very rich!! So prices in restaurants are in fact almost London prices if not Dublin ones. At 20 euros or more for a steak this is almost double the going rate in downmarket resorts such as nearby Albufeira. Clearly you cannot have luxury on the cheap!

“ I have been visting the Algarve regularly for over 10 years & chose to stay at the hotel for a 3 day trip on business with a little golf thrown in as well.

I was immediately impressed by the quality and feel of the interior. Walking to my one bedroom suite, you walk along avenues rather than corridors, which are subtedly lit in the evenings and basked in natural light during the day with an ambundance of giant 2 story plants and paintings.

The corridor to my suite lit up sensing my arrival and set a very relaxing atmosphere. The suite itself was very impressive, with a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table for 4 which is shared with a well sized lounge area with a 42 inch screen and electrically operated curtains & voiles. There is also a beautiful cloakroom, with full size drench head shower.

The bedroom was large and very comfortable, with a separate dressing area and en-suite bathroom, with a good size bath and drench head shower. The hotel stocks the bathrooms with the largest selection of vanity products I have ever exprienced ranging from spare toothbrush & paste, through to a shoe buffer and even factor 30 suntan cream and this was a lovely touch.

I used the large outside pool as well as the inside pool, which is housed within the Magnolia Spa, which again was of the highest quality. My only slight niggle was that they insisted that everyone wears a white cotton cap in the pool, which I think is totally unecessary, given the only thing its preventing is the odd loose hair, which as mine is short and not falling out, shouldn't be necessary.

The one night I ate in the restuarant, I was late arriving at the end of a international buffet, and the food was cold and overcooked having been sat under heat lamps for the evening. It cost €25 for that experience, which was highly unsatisfactory. They do serve casual meals up in the bar, and I only wish the reception had offered me that option when I checked in.

Buffet breakfast offered a good choice of everything from cooked to healthy and the service was pleasant and efficient.

Overall, I was exceptionally impressed by the Monte Quinta Suite hotel. Booking through Travel Republic offered it at a tremendous rate and made the hotel exceptionally high value for money and I would certainly recommend it and stay there again.

“ Top Tip: Try Alambique Restuarant just off of the Quinta/Vale da Lobo road. Wonderful indoor and outdoor dining, exceptional staff and service, great choice of quality food and alwasy a warm welcome by the owner Adelino, who is somewhat of a character!

For lunch away from the beach, the best place is A Quinta, on the Loule hill road out of Almancil. Wonderful staff, great sun terrace, and the menu offers a clean, fresh and exceptionally tasty selection. It was always our first day lunch choice!

“ The hotel was to a very high standard. The staff were helpful and nothing was too much bother for them if you needed anything. Everything you would need was provided, towels, robes, etc.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and quiet holiday.

“ Excellent property, the staff were very helpful, we wanted to chill out during the day around a decent pool which is exactly what we got. Good Drinks/ food service and the pool attendant Amando runs the pool as if it was his own!! No one will struggle with their parasol or sunbed. Pool towels were supplied.
The suites were excellent and had everything you would need. The bar area was quite quiet in the evenings. Breakfasts were very good, eating in or outside, only gripe.....ITV in the room broke up in the early evening it was not a problem and we will be definitely be returning. Some people may find this property a bit isolated without a car, it's a good walk to the beach and plaza, so if you want wall to wall bars in the area and beach in front of you best go somewhere else!

“ Top Tip: Restaurant Alambique is not too far away and excellent. Julias Beach has some relaxed beach bar/ restaurants. There is a shopping plaza quite away up the road which has a supermarket,' exclusive' shops, 2 bars and restaurants. ( there is though a small store on site) I would certainly recommend a car if staying here.
