“ The food was very disappionting, very little choice from a poor selection. The waiter said we could say what we would like to eat if nothing on the menu appealed. I do not go away to have the waiter ask me what I would like to eat, it is up to the chef to tempt me with what he/she can produce. In a 5* hotel I expect the chef to have a broad knowledge and imagination of cooking the local food, sadly this was not the case.
“ Top Tip: Yes an excellent restaurant, but it was a 20 minute walk away, Casa Velha.

“ Fantastic hotel though for longer stays the limited restaurant choice can be an issue. The hotel is a 10-15min walk to the beech over a long bridge with no shade - the beach is great but it is a walk

On arrival the Hotel did not appear to have had the reservation.
There was not an issue to get a room since the Hotel was not fully booked.
I would be interested to know whose fault it was.

We had a wonderful holiday. The staff were most welcoming and high standards prevailed in all regards.
The restaurants were close when driving ( We had hired a car) and there was quite a selection of them
