Cabanas Park Resort Hotel

“ The room was comfortable and clean with all amenities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We went bed and breakfast. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide choice. The food was so good and good value in the restaurant that we dined there every night. Also the waiters especially Joe couldn't do enough for you. We have been to the Algarve each year since 95 but this was our first visit to Cabanas. The only big disappointment was the supermarket which unfortunately had practically nothing on its shelves and we could not get water or bread on a couple of occasions. Although this is no reflection on the hotel it could well be a factor which would put people off this resort.

“ Top Tip: The beach is clean and was literally a minute boat ride across the river and free for hotel guests.

“ This was our second time staying at this fab place. Our first visit was October last year: the weather was spectacular as was the area. The only negative thought then was due to the fact the hotel is on the outskirts of the town, our comment then was 'God knows what you would do if the weather was bad'. Well, God decided to show us! It came down in stair rods from the first day. Still had a wonderful break, but could have been very boring if reading/sleeping isn't your thing!
The hotel was spotless again, and the food in the restaurant is outstanding.
Definatley go again, (hoepfully will be able to use the huge pool next time)

“ Top Tip: please try the restaurant food, especially in the evening. It is as good as anything youd pay double for. The steak and pork are 'to die for' (only if your not a veggie....obviously)

“ Lovely hotel in a quiet area yet close to some restaurants and cafes down the road in Cabanas. Nice clean and modern apartment which was bigger than expected with nice view of gardens and pool. Free hotel boat to beach.

“ It was our first time staying in a apartment hotel, it was a different experience. Found it hard to get any information e.t.c. Place was kept clean, but the cleaners had two days off the week we stayed.We stayed b&b and the waiter in the restaurant was both helpful and attentive.He was a real gentleman.We just loved the idea of getting the boat to cross the river to gain access to the amazing beach.We walked the whole length of the beach, it took us two days though!There are amazing walks all around this area, no maps at the hotel or for sale in the village. But we had one of those phones with built in sat naf. The birds were amazing in the mornings and the flamingos arrived on our last day, if your into bird watching this is the place for you.Get a room overlooking the wetlands.Its a clean basic hotel, not sure how it got its 4 stars though. Our transfers were spot on with times, which was great.We would definitely visit this area of Portugal again, but try finding a 5 star hotel.

“ Top Tip: We ate some amazing fish in the village at night and had some great wine too, especially the green wines.Check out the back streets too, some quirky cheap welcoming places.
