Set in a lush green area and with the golden sandy beach of Garrao just 700 metres away. The hotel has a total of 109 tastefully decorated, spacious guest rooms including family suites all of which are equipped with modern facilities. Features at the hotel include a restaurant and bar area as well as a variety of leisure facilities including outdoor tennis courts, outdoor swimming pool and a separate Spa area located close to the hotel which is shared with a sister hotel (Payable daily). There is also a children's club (June to Sept).

“ This hotel is great - we thoroughly enjoyed its atmosphere, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was great. The pool area was lovely and the grounds were very green and lush. We didn't appreciate before we went how isloated it is though. There is no commercail area near it at all - its in a very quiet up-market residential area and you need a car (or taxi) to get to shops and night life. This didn't bother us for five days, but would have been a bit limiting over a longer stay.

“ Please note that the review I have competed is for the Ria Park Hotel and not Ria Park GARDEN Hotel. The Garden hotel was not open but we were more than happy to stay at Ria Park as it is a superior hotel, in a better position and more suited to our requirements

Upgraded to Ria Park Hotel. Staff were wonderful, especially with my 2 and 8 year olds and were very respectful and thoughtful of my parents too. Rooms lovely and spacious, air cond cool and not noisy. Great situation, pool nice though not heated, but at 32 degrees one day we didn't mind. As its a 5 star drinks and snacks not cheap, but they wouldn't be in UK. Dinner (we were half board) was fine and good variety, service great and again nothing too much trouble for the children. Beach is not a trek as mentioned elsewhere - it depends on your level of activity! 10 mins stroll and you are there. Next to Val do lobo so all restaurants etc of a certain type, some would argue not the typical Portugal of yesteryear.
Not many staying (credit crunch?) so spa only on request and no kids club but we would certainly go back

“ Actually stayed in Ria Park Hotel, as Ria Park Garden is under going refurbishment, so upgraded, free of charge, to a 5* hotel, which was absolutely fantastic. Breakfast was included, which was buffet style - lovely. Cereals, Bacon eggs, yoghurts, pastries anything and everything you could want. Beautiful weather, friendly people, especially the Reception staff, nothing was too much trouble. Luxurious rooms and surroundings, nice clean swimming pool. Ordered a daily newspaper, which was delivered to our room by 10.30am everyday. A couple of minus points were very expensive restaurant and bar at the hotel, so lunch and evenings both were nearly always empty. Also a must is a hire car, as not too much to do in or around the hotel. Also it was a fair old hike to the beach where most of the food places are,especially, when walking on very hot sand at 80+ degrees. Overall a very enjoyable stay, and would definately be going back. Booking with TRAVEL REPUBLIC was the HASSLE FREE, from airline tickets, accomodation and taxi transfers, would recommend this company without a doubt.
