“ Hotel and staff first class. Golf course was in good condition considering all the rain that had fallen before we arrived. Would recommend this hotel for a few days away in the sun golfing. Would go back to the resort it was lovely. However Vilamoura the closest big town was 10 mins in a taxi, not alot to do threre. The marina was very commercialised, too much like any seaside town in U.K. !!
“ Top Tip: Not close to any shops, bars or restaurants. Vilamoura 10 mins in taxi, Marina not very nice, was disapointed thought it would be more quaint, too many restaurants from all over the world, not at all Portugese.

1. Excellent staff - very friendly, always helpful and treat you like family..
2. Villamoura town - very clean and upmarket town in its look and feel..
3. Location - though far from the town and beach but for those who like to stay in the resort and relax, this is really ideal..
4. Eating options - in the hotel there were lots of choices, specially in the breakfast and well presented..
5. Overall - an excellent experience..

Great bedroom, balcony and bathroom facilities.

Not so good points.
Pool was very cold.
Pool loungers and tables need renewing - some broken and most very "tired".
You will need a car or taxi to get to the restaurants, beach and Vilamoura marina.
Staff could be better allocated during the day at the pool bar - only one person on and although doing her best, service was slow.
“ Top Tip: Golf clubhouse is best for lunch - main course and a drink for 10 euro representing good value for money whilst hotel pool bar and food expensive.

“ ROOMS AND BATHROOMS VERY NICE. POOL AREA VERY TIRED WITH TILES MISSING FROM SWIMMING POOL. SUN LOUNGERS AND POOLAREA FURNITURE CHEAP AND NASTY. IOWELS FOR POOL NEED REPLACING AS TIRED AND OLD. DEFINITELY NOT A 5 STAR RESORT.BREAKFAST ADEQUATE NOT GOOD. POORLY PRESENTED.

Built in the year 2000, this hotel comprises a total of 57 rooms spread over 4 floors of which 2 are single rooms and 55 are double rooms. Guests may make use of the foyer with 24-hour reception desk, a safe, a currency exchange facility, a lift and a cafe. In addition, there is a bar, a TV room and an air-conditioned e la carte restaurant available for use. There is also a conference room and a public Internet terminal to be used within the hotel and those arriving by car may make use of the hotel car park. A laundry service rounds off the services on offer.
“ Good clean room but a little dated. Great view of town from room. Adequate parking sapce.Ten minute walk into town and restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful. My room was above the dining room and there was a lot of noise from chairs scraping on tiled floor. Breakfast fairly basic but adequate.

At the Vila Gale Tavira you can be assured of a warm welcome. The hotel provides a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere in which to enjoy your stay. Facilities include a pool on site, internet access (charge applies) and Alladino Grill - where delicious grilled meat and fish are served. The town of Tavira is at the hotel's doorstep. Also on offer is the Satsanga Spa with indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, Turkish bath and Jacuzzi (these are chargeable locally and rates include use of a towel).
“ Lovely. If you like cosy and familiar this is not for you as it is a big hotel, but anytime we did ask for info or anything else, the staff were super friendly and helpful. Also very clean and well placed for accessing all the bars and restaurants in Tavira

The Vila Gale Ampalius is centrally located and only a short drive from some of the region's many golf courses. The 357 bedrooms are all well equipped with air conditioning, telephone, television, fridge and hairdryer. The hotel has a restaurant, internet access (charge applies) bar/coffee shop, summertime pool-side bar and snack bar. Leisure facilities include a Spa Satsanga, tennis courts and putting green (these are chargeable locally and rates include use of a towel).
“ This is a decent hotel that is well organised. There were few guests so the staff were looking around for things to do, which is a good sign. We stayed B&B and the breakfasts were very good and the rooms comfortable.

Park Mourabel Pe do Lago & Oasis Village apartment units are located in Vilamoura, one of the most popular tourist resorts in the Algarve. They are ideal for those people who are looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday but also want to enjoy all the facilities that Vilamoura has to offer. Falesia beach is only 1.8 kms away and easily reached by courtesy bus and nearby, guests can also find a commercial area with all kind of shops, cafeterias, restaurants and bars. The Parque Mourabel and Pe do Lago apartments are fully equipped with satellite TV, kitchenette, fridge, and terrace or balcony. Baby cots are available on request and will count as one person in the room and not in addition to the maximum occupancy. Guests can use any the facilities for any of the 3 resorts. Note for S11 the property has refurbished half of the rooms to a 4 star standard, inc airconditioning (Detailed as Superior)
“ Paid half board for very poor meals. These were at half price at the hotel. I was charged extra for Christamas meals (£56) and for apartment at 30 euros. NOT GOOD
