Within the centuries old beautiful Castle walls that encircle the village of Obidos, this Pousada was the first one to be adapted and restored from a historical monument, being itself a monument of national history. Small in size totalling 6 rooms with 3 suites each on two levels, popular for honeymoon couples. Decoration is period and typical with stone walls and candle light fittings. Bathrooms small but adequate. As this Pousada is in the old town itself, approach by coach is not possible, instead a pleasant walk to the entrance through a pair of adjoining doors of manueline architecture welcome guests into the courtyard.
