This air-conditioned spa hotel has 62 rooms, 3 of which are suite rooms, and a disability-friendly room is also available. Guests are welcomed into a reception hall with 24-hour check-in and check-out service. There is a hotel gourmet restaurant with seating for up to 80 persons and a bar, as well as 2 meeting rooms with varying capacities (up to 120 persons) and including audio visual equipment. Other facilities include lift access, a cafe, a children's playground, out door swimming pool, bycicles, golf - short game training area, free WIFI and tennis court.This hotel can be found just one hour from Lisbon, between the Alcoa River and a mountain. In this natural setting, guests can have a great time enjoying the landscape or simply relax. The beach of Nazare is about a 10-minute drive away, and the city of Leiria can be reached in approximately 30 minutes. Portela Airport is some 110 km from the hotel.Each of the rooms comes equipped with a double bed, as well as air conditioning, telephone, satellite/cable TV and a private bathroom with shower and bath, safety deposit boxes and hair dryer. The decoration is modern.The hotel has at its disposal a Spa with various face and body treatments, massages, hydrotherapy, among others, a semi-Olympic swimming pool, tennis court, football field, bar, billiards / snooker, bicycles, footpaths, gym, common room and Golf - short game training course.From Lisbon, take the A8 motorway until Alcobaea. After the toll, head towards Alcobaea. Then after 1.5 km turn right, and follow signs to Termas Piedade and the hotel. From the north, take the A1 motorway (Porto/Lisbon). Follow signs to Leiria and the A8 motorway. Once on the A8, follow above directions.This is a non-smoking property.

We learned one very important lesson and that was not to underestimate the benefit of having a centrally located hotel. This hotel is located about 5km from the centre of town so we spent a fortune on taxis every day travelling into town where there are many decent shops, restaurants etc. and the magnificent monastery of course. Also, many taxi drivers and shop keepers will give you a blank stare if you ask for 'Your Hotel and Spa' hotel. They know it by the Portuguese name 'Hotel Termos Piedade' (sp).
The hotel room was very stylishly decorated and clean. No complaints there. However the shower (there was only a shower, no bath) took at least 15 minutes (yes we timed it!) to run hot water in the mornings. Infact, we waited for 25 minutes on the morning we were leaving for the airport and there was still no sign of any hot water so we gave up!
There was a TV but it only showed 5 channels, 4 of which were Portuguese and the other German and the picture was very fuzzy. The hotel 'welcome pack' said there was an English channel but we were unable to find it.
There were no complimentary tea/coffee making facilities.
There was work going on at the hotel and for this reason there was no dinner at the restaurant (more taxi rides into town) but breakfast was available, for what it was worth. Every morning there was a limited choice of 2 cereals (cornflakes and coco pops), bread rolls & croissants, slices of cheese and ham, yoghurt and some very tired looking over ripe fruit - plus tea and coffee and orange squash (not fresh juice). On 2 occasions there was no milk (and no staff around to ask for some) and there were no teaspoons either so you stir your tea and coffee with a dessert spoon...
One evening I went to the bar in search of a light snack and was told that they could make me a sandwich. What I received was a ham and cheese sandwich made from bread that was clearly left over from breakfast and was so dry and stale it was completely inedible.
On a more positive note, the hotel reception staff were very helpful and polite at all times and my daughter had a facial at the spa which, although very expensive at €75.00, she thoroughly enjoyed.
Despite it's location, this could have been an enjoyable stay at this hotel if it wasn't for the above issues. In a nutshell, Your Hotel and Spa LOOKS like a 5 star hotel but only offers a 2 star level of comfort.
