“ This hotel needs updateing never-the-less it's clean and in a good central position.The breakfast is good with plenty of variety.I would stop there again.
“ Top Tip: The airobus from the airport is 3.50 euros and stops around the corner from the hotel,on the Avenue Liberdade.

We felt (as a middle aged couple) that the hotel, although in a quiet area, was close enough to the main sights of Lisbon with the Rossio square merely a 10 - 15 minute walk away. It had a small bar area with seating and a larger lounge area attached, which included a large Samsung lcd tv used by us to watch the England vs Switzerland 2011 group qualifer (mind you after that abysmal display, I wish I hadn't bothered ! ). Our room was clean and functional with air conditioning but with no view to speak of, not that it mattered to us as we spent very little time back in the room anyway. The breakfast was of the continental variety but somewhat limited and the coffee was lukewarm at best, I guess breakfast is the one area that could be improved. The staff were all very friendly and polite. If we were to return to Lisbon, I would have no qualms returning to this particular hotel due to it's proximity to the major sights and of course the two barmen that kepy my glass topped up.
“ Top Tip: The views of Lisbon were stunning from the Castle, the Santa Justa Elevator and also at the top of the park area just beyond the Marques De Pongal. There are many good restaurants (as opposed to cafes) in the Restaurados area reasonably priced. Also take the Hills tramcar ride and the Tagus yellow bus tour.

Rooms clean and tidy. Balcony rooms are quite noisy with traffic.
Staff friendly. Breakfast good and plentiful.
“ Top Tip: Various good restaurants in the Barrio Alto area, a reasonable walk from the hotel.
