“ We were all (4 of us) pleased with hotel, rooms were good, everything was clean and nice, breakfast good. Our only problem were the beds, three out of the four of us found the beds uncomfortable - if you ran your hand over the mattress, springs were clearly felt, which was disappointing given the standard of the rest of the hotel, which was good. Unfortunately on the last day of our stay, our flight was not until 8;30pm, the day was hot and sticky, it would have been good had there been somewhere to change before leaving the hotel at about 6 ish - unfortunately staff were unable to offer anywhere, so it was a case of using toilets and reception, which we don`t think the staff were particularly pleased about - but there was no choice!!
“ Top Tip: Hotel in very good location, as there was a Metro within a couple of hundred yards, we used this all the time, and in that way managed to get around Lisbon very easily. Transferring onto Main line trains was simple from the Metro.

“ Good public areas. Great buffet breakfast. Clean throughout. Good value for doubles, less so for singles. Only downsides were very hard beds and traffic noise coming in through windows that didn't seal out enough noise.
“
Top Tip:
Don't get taxi voucher from airport - ours cost 23 Euro. The taxi back to the airport, organized by hotel reception cost 8.60 euros!
Sao Sebastiao metro is only 5 mins walk away and a fast and cheap way of getting into the centre

“ This is a lovely hotel. Clean and very friendly helpful staff. The coffee bar in the basement is a really nice atmosphere and great for a cheap breakfast - much cheaper than booking breakfast if you just want coffee and a croissant. Its about 20 minutes walk from the square where the tour busses start off so Ok during the day if you have a bus ticket but at least a 45 minute walk from the main restaurant areas at night and an hour from the port so not so good unless prepared to use taxis or like walking. Taxis not expensive about 3-4 euro to get to eating areas, but one taxi driver did drive wide to charge extra which we pointed out to him as we knew the route by then.
“ Top Tip: We booked a segway with the greyline tour company but would not recommend this. We were told to meet the segway company at a particular bus stop but no one turned up. After an hours searching we found the segway company who said they do not meet people at the bus stop and that they didn't have a booking for us anyway. Then we were told the trip involved us going out alone on the roads unaccompanied - when we said we would pay extra to be accompanied as driving practice in Lisbon seemed pretty lethal to us they said the guide did not really know anything about the sights but could at least keep us safe. They then tried to get us to sign a document saying we had insured ourselves for any damage caused despite the advertisment saying insurance provided. We refused in the end and they agreed to give us our money back.
