“ Staff were excellent and spoke most languages fluently. Always happy to help and nothing was too much trouble. Room was excellent, clean and very comfortable. Location excellent in heart of Lisbon, ideal for Metro and getting around. We stayed for 4 nights and only complaint that we had was that the dinner menu was rather limited and food could have been served hotter.

“ Very pleasant staff and extremely comfortable room. Location is central , taxis in Lisbon are cheap and plentiful though so as long as you are within easy access of a taxi rank being central is not that crucial.

The Windows were filthy. The void between the secondary glazing panels was really dirty, with bits of fag ash in there.
The bathroom had black mould in some areas of the tiling which were poorly sealed and had allowed water to get in.
The shower head fell off because the clip was broken(this was rectified immediately)
The toilet seat was "blown" due to water getting behind the surface in two areas.
The traffic noise was unbearable with the window open, but with the window closed the air conditioning was noisy.
Generally, this is a 5 star hotel because it has all the facilities required to make it so, however, it is a bit tired, and could use some money and TLC.
“ Top Tip: 400 metres downhill on the same side of the road, is an excellent fish restaurant.

Top Tip:
Metro 100 meters from the front door, and from there you can go anywhere. A day ticket for 6 Euros means that you have unlimited travel for 24 hours - Brilliant!
Walk down Avenida Liberdade towards the river and you will find all types of restaurants and shops to keep any woman happy.
