A conference room, a public Internet terminal, a children's playground and a bicycle storage facility and hire service are also available. Those arriving by car may take advantage of the car park or garage facilities. Laundry, room and medical services round off the facilities on offer.
“ Great hotel in a peaceful location, wonderful sea views. Very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms well presented and equipped. Some restaurants within walking distance (5 to 10 mins) but some restaurants offered free pickup and drop off service anyway.

“ We struck lucky, when we arrived the receptionist said the hotel was over booked. So instead of two seperate rooms between the four of us we were given the Penthouse suite with three bathrooms, a jacuzzi, breathtaking views from our rooftop balcony and free breakfast for all of us thrown in for the duration of our stay.

The Dom Pedro Garajau Aparthotel is a well-appointed establishment in a quiet location, 9 km along the coast from Funchal and close to the interesting village of Canico. The hotels location, its day and evening entertainment and excursion programmes and its excellent facilities make it the perfect base for exploring the island or enjoying an action-packed holiday.
“ For the price we paid I felt the hotel was very good. The room was quite spacious and very clean with a lovely view from the balcony. The water pressure and temperature were good and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room but other than that we were both happy with our choice.

“ We stayed for a week in November & cannot praise the gardens & staff highly enough. The hotel is mostly frequented by German guests but all the staff speak excellent English (in fact one confided in me he likes to speak English rather than German).
