In general Reid's Palace Hotel has all the facilities and is all that would be expected of a five star deluxe hotel. It has a play area for younger children and older people can use the lounges and secluded areas of the magnificent gardens in which to relax. An outdoor telephone is strategically placed to call for service.
Families with toddlers and those with teenage children were both welcomed. Guests of all ages are made to feel equally pampered.
The one weakness is the cuisine in the Main Dining room, other than when a special menu is on offer. The dishes were of a slightly sub gastropub quality.
