“ we thought the Eden Mar was an excellent hotel, with both the rooms and the public areas maintained to a very high standard. The pools and the surrounding gardens were a particular joy. Best of all though was the standard of service - we've never stayed in a large hotel before where the service was both so efficient and so friendly with it.
“ Top Tip: We used the courtesy bus a lot to take us into central Funchal as it was more interesting than the 'hotel zone' and had a better range of restaurants than the ones near the hotel.

“ Fabulous hotel where you feel that you are the only ones there !! Staff all very helpful and everything was excellent. Room was a suite and would definately return.
“ Top Tip: The Chinese opposite was very good as was the Indian and Itialian just round the cormer. Also loved the Steak Chef overlooking the ocean.
