fantastic hotel very impressed with staff and decor room was lovely.food was great better than most of the restaurants we ate at in town /would definately recommend it.
Only down side was they didnt provide a transfer from airport which i would have expected from a hotel of that calibre peak season or not.
“ Top Tip: restaurant funchal at the end of promenade was excellent fun really good night out great live music...

Hotel was excellent, staff and all local people in Madeira very friendly.
The only thing hotel could improve is quality of breakfast.
“ Top Tip: Downtown, last stop on the bus or hotel transfer is excellent italian restaurant/bar LaPasta where you can make your own dish on pasta and sauce selection for bargaing EUR 5 or EUR 3 half portion.

“ The hotel had a very strong design and art display component which made the environment comfortable and interesting to look at. The hotel setting in the hillside outside Funchal gave it a commanding viewpoint over the harbour and across the rest of the countryside. The staff were both friendly and professional. One minor point is that the bar and the restaurant lacked a bit of atmosphere as they were very quiet.
“ Top Tip: We visited a couple of local restaurants which provided good food and good service. We also discovered a local cafe place nearby that has great soup, cakes and coffee!

“ Need to make it very clear that it is not walking distance to main centre. Otherwise if happy to use taxis the hotel is very good, food is good and hotel staff, reception, waiters and housekeeping excellent.
“ Top Tip: confirm your fare with taxi drivers before pulling away, should only be max 12euro at weekend to centre (most taxi drivers are very good, couple of rogue ones) . old town is best for restuarants
