Reaching the town centre (a big square called 'Aliados'), follow the descending direction of the square. Turn onto Rua de Ceuta and continue on in the direction of Torre dos Clerigos, then turn onto Rua dos Clerigos. Turn left at the bottom of the street into the small Rua do Almada. Turn into the 1st street on the left. The hotel will be found on the left-hand side. From Porto-Seo Bento railway station, leave and take a right turn in the direction of Praea de Liberdade (look for a statue of a horseman) and once there follow the street up on the right-hand side of Banco de Portugal, walk about 30 metres and the hotel will be found on the left-hand side.

“ the hotel was in a great location,helpful staff. Very unique decor and the breakfast was excellent.
“ Top Tip: Although the beach is not near the hotel my party enjoyed a lovely morning stroll along the river side great lunch, and the little tram back to the centre. Also Porto is not to expensive which is always good news.

I had a room at the front of the hotel- it was noisy during the night with revellers walking by, luckily I could close the windows and use ear plugs. If it was summer time I think sleeping could be difficult as there was no air-con installed.
The staff were good, special thanks to Daniel and Edwardo.
Coffee and tea making would be a good addition to the room.

Top Tip:
Not really the local restaurants seemed to have a rota as they all opened at differing evenings 9possibly as it was end of season.
Taxis were good and cheap

“ The friendliest and most helpful staff. Amazing self-service breakfast 'banquet' every day, in beautiful room with doors leading to a delightful garden. Decor is traditional and elegant. Rooms simple and old-fashioned but spotless. Ensuite immaculate - lovely white towels. Rooms cleaned every day. Rooms on street side can be noisy, especially weekends. Hotel staff recommended two places to eat, one simple and cheap, the other much more expensive; both provided excellent value.
“ Top Tip: Just a couple of minutes from the main square and the station. Cafes nearby.

My room was basic, but clean. Very good breakfast, friendly staff.
My only complaint was that we had to get our own bags to and from our rooms, and there were stairs from reception to the lift.
“ Top Tip: The hotel is very central in the old part of the town, which made exploring Porto by foot easy. There are some fantastic bars nearby, which come alive on Friday and Saturday nights after about 10-11pm. Look out for the one with the Fiat 500 suspended from the ceiling.

“ Very happy with this hotel bearing in mind it is 3 star and the reasonable rates. Excellent location within walking distance of Porto Cathedral and the spectacular bridge over the Douro River. Batalha Square has a number of cafes/bars were the food is basic but good and very reasonably priced.

The Tryp Porto Centro hotel is located in the city centre, near the famous Santa Catarina street; an excellent location for a shopping spree. A few minutes from Porto's major tourist attractions with excellent connections. A Ribeira, a World Heritage site, the cathedral, Ferreira Borges market and Wine Museums are also closeby as well as being 12 km from Porto Airport and the Exponor Exhibition Centre. The hotel features 62 guest rooms with satellite TV, telephone, minibar, high-speed internet access, safe and hairdryer. The hotel also features "Marques Restaurant" with national and international specialities.
“ The place was shining. Clean and convenient, we had a great time. My only issue was that even after very specifically requesting and paying for a double room, we got a twin room. Very unimpressed. Breakfast was good though.
