Room was fantastic facility wise shame we had no river view
Staff were excellent every need was attended to immediately.
We would definitely stay there again.

Top Tip:
Turning immediate left from the hotel up the steep street on the left is Cris's Bar
They do a very nice inexpensive meal feeling really like a local.
Nice walks along riverbank iether going left or right.

“ Bang on the river front, any closer you would be wet! The perfect location for everything, Short walk to station and tour bus. River cruise on your door step. Variety of bars and restaurants just outside. English speaking and very helpful staff, very clean, huge rooms and beds, clean towels and room serviced daily. Vast breakfast selection, no evening restaurant within the hotel during our stay, but such a vast selection of restaurants neighbouring it really didn't matter.

The hotel is in a great position; right in the centre of the historic Ribeira district. It was amazing to be right on the Duoro and have that view every morning. Great breakfast (was particularly pleased with the provision of sparkling wine to make a morning Bucks Fizz!).
Only criticism is that the rooms feel a little soul-less, which is a shame in such a historic building. But ours was extremely comfortable and very spacious.

“ Excellent hotel. Although the advertised restaurant has been closed which was a disappointment for us, there are literally dozens of restaurants nearby.
