Very happy with this hotel bearing in mind it is 3 star and the reasonable rates.
Excellent location within walking distance of Porto Cathedral and the spectacular bridge over the Douro River.
Batalha Square has a number of cafes/bars were the food is basic but good and very reasonably priced.
Hotel rooms were always kept clean and tidy for our return to the hotel at the end of each day - hotel staff always very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was good (once again bearing in mind this is a 3 star hotel).
My wife and I would have no hesitation in staying there again.
“ Top Tip: A short walk gets you to (opposite) Sao Bento train station where you can catch a number 500 bus to the beach - bus journey takes 15-20 minutes - fare is 1.75 euros

“ Our room was very clean and had everything we needed such as safe and kettle. Breakfast was good and the staff even made us toast.

Top Tip:
Porto is very hilly! If you are coming from the airport get off at Bolhau then you can walk downhill to the hotel.
We found an amazing restaurant called Tipico on Rua da Fonte Taurina right by the river. It was very cheap and the portions were huge!

“ Hotel is excellent value for money - very clean and nice. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. It's very near the river and shops / restaurants and only a 15 minute bus ride from the beach. I'd definitely recommend it.
“ Top Tip: For 10 euros at the Tourist Info you can get a river tour and port tasting and tour of the Croft cellars - this is bargainous and comes highly recommended!
