“ Bathrooms outdated, some with no window and no ventilation. Room had bit of a funny smell which came from bathroom we think. All very clean - average accommodation at a reasonable price. Quite a draught through one of the windows so wouldn't want to stay there in winter!
“ Top Tip: Great location - walking distance from river, shops, bus stops, metro etc.

The location of the hotel was excellent.....walking distance to the town, the waterfront and easy access to public transport in the form of trains. buses and metro. The room was a decent size for two...although more hangers would have been good. The breakfast was standard as you tend to find in tourist hotels, but it was plentiful and served until 10, which was great.
The only downside to our stay was the internet access was a bit flaky..kept throwing out the connection and at 1 euro for 15 mins was rather expensive..use the internet cafes around town instead.
As an aside, they did try and say that we'd damaged a towel, with hair straighteners. As we could prove that the mark on the towel was not made by anything we had with us, we argued the point and the manager backed down but seemed a very strange thing to so...surely hotel towels are subject to damage all the time ?
“
Top Tip:
Restaurant recommendations : Shis restaurant down in the Foz section, on the beach, great menu, fantastic view and lovely food..especially the deserts.
Arroz al Forno, on the road from the station down to the waterfront...try the house special oven roasted lamb....
Don't know the portugese name of the last one but it's on the same road but nearer the waterfront...known as the suckling pig restaurant. Excellent bottle of red, and a very different an unusual menu...staff were enthusiastic, keen, helpful and knowledgeable.

“ Everyone we met at the hotel was extremely helpful and eager to please. The rooms were very well serviced and had plenty of space. To be recommended to anyone
“ Top Tip: We had some excellent meals, but the restaurants we would most recommend were the A Brasiliera on Rua de Sa Bandeira and the Almada in the Hotel Internacional on Rua de Almada
