“ The hotel was well-maintained, friendly and had great views of the sea. The adjoining restaurant served a wide selection of food but was the only restaurant we could find in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. If you want to go swimming make sure you take a swimming hat otherwise they will charge you 6 euros!

on check in they had no record of our booking. We had booked 2 rooms and they only had a record of 1. . However, they could accomodate the other room on another floor which was not acceptable as my 11 and 14 year old child were in that room so after quite some time they were able to jiggle things round.
Also the hotel has a tennis court (which doesn't say that it is chargeable) However when we plaed they charged us 25 euros for 1 hour - this is dearer than a tennis club in the uk!!! and the court, rackets and balls were totally substandard
Don't know when this hotel was last rated but there is no way it should be listed as a 4* more like a 3. Tired and the decor in the rooms is very dated.

“ Hotel was brilliant - Classy and could be from the 50s. Amazing views of the beach.
“ Top Tip: Beach is just across the boardwalk and one of the cleanest I have seen. Don't forget to take a tour of one of the port houses and Church of San Francisco in Porto.
