The restaurant is a very large cathedral-style room.

This Pousada is an old stone building dating back to the 13th century. It was originally a royal Palace and the home of King Dinis, who founded Coimbra university, and his wife Isabel.

This Pousada has changed very little since the days when it was a royal Palace, maintaining many of its original features such as the portraits of Queen Isabel, brass chandeliers and wall tapestries. 08/08 mp
